DFW to WLG. I've been messing around with google flights and I found one round trip for 1701 going 7/9-7/31. Obviously cheaper is better, I don't mind getting shoved in the cargo area if it gets me from point A to point B. I appreciate you taking a look!

Is Wellington a requirement? Auckland is arguably cheaper to get to.

Also, if you go in August, tickets are substantially cheaper. I'm seeing DFW -> AKL for 1,100-1,200 leaving Aug 6-7.

I'm not sure about Ohio, but in California all an employer can say is that you worked for them. They can say all the positive things they want, but anything more negative then "Yes so and so worked for us" can get them in huge trouble. My previous employer finally stopped responding to any reference requests at all after getting hammered by the state..

I think most states are like this. But well people will hint and hem and try to get anything and try to read between the lines of what is being refused to be said. It's really funny watching the boss answer those kind of calls cause he's an overly nice and honest guy and those traits clash enough as is without the law in there too lol. Of course then they will ask person applying hey your employer wouldn't say what happened. Hence crafting a careful truth

Unfortunately. Wellington lacks an international airport, so pretty much any flight there is just a flight to Auckland plus an extra connection. Not ideal, but it's where I'd end up staying. The gf loves Wellington. I swear I've walked through the whole city ten times already and I'm sure I'll do it another ten.

edit: Jesus, it's a 30% drop just to go in August instead of July? Hm. That would be nice, but I don't know if I'd be able to spend enough time there to justify it if I'm not arriving till 8/9.

Well thankfully it's a pretty quick hop from AKL. Jetstar flies it like 8 times a day. ANZ flies it 10 times a day. All tickets under 100 bucks RT.

I would take a hard look at going in August as you'll save a serious amount of money for the same level of service.

So was going to cancel my Comcast appointment since last night I went back to 90 or so mbps and this morning as well and now it's even slower than before. Like having trouble just logging into ffxi when I used to play it back in 2005 tethered to my flip phone for internet just fine. I'm starting to think it's related to this heat wave as it does seem to get worse the hotter it gets outside but temp inside the apartment seems to make no difference. Guess I'll have to nap next to the ac until night time to play

Not sure if you're in an apartment or what, but I'd emphasize the tech look over the outside lines as various forms of environmental exposure could be contributing to your issues. But my guess is you have some exposed wiring either due to rot/cracking or animals. And if they don't find that shit, they can easily go, "Welp, nothing's wrong here!" if it's not acting up when they're there.

Meh, could get uglier if it's an apartment-wide issue. They can probably look outside, but if its anything within the building itself, you're probably SOL unless the landlord itself calls it in.

It's a shitty cheap apartment complex that are all one bedroom but except me, this weird coast gaurd guy with a filipino mail order bride (no joke he more or less told me that really weird dude), and this creepy old lady that looks like she should be the hunchbacked ghost or demon or whatever in some horror everyone is a Hispanic family of 5+ that has to have their children translate for them. Plumbers have come by and told me the plumbing is from the 50s which is probably when sometimes things I wash down my kitchen sink come up thru the tub of the apartment below me <.<. The property company probably don't care.
