yeah ear hooks are great. I got a pair of really nice in-ears with hooks and a microphone and shit. apparently designed for construction, but for $20 it was worth a shot as a headset for gaming. didn't work out just cos I can never stay comfy with in-ears but other than that theyre perfect.

AC is out. it's 108 during the day. came home from spiderman tonight, it was 92 in the house.

8:30am Saturday we had a home inspection that turned up a lot of shit and now we may back out of the house we've been looking at.

Didn't get to go home and play vidya while my wife went to a bridal shower cause the inspection was long and found a bunch of shit.

After getting lunch, my wife called to say our friends wanted to get some drinks after the shower, so I headed about 40 minutes north from where I grabbed lunch to pick up a friend at his place. About 10 minutes away from where we were supposed to meet everyone, about an hour 15 from my apartment, the release bearings in my car decide to burn off all the grease so I'm pulled over on the side of the road.

Get the car towed to a dealership in the area because everything else is closed and I have zero knowledge of good mechanics in the area. Can't get a loaner from the dealership because the service department is closed. Rental car places all closed at about 1pm so can't get a rental car.

Friends live 45 mins to an hour from our apartment at best. The other two friends we were meeting have a place even further north than where we were. Wife and I have to take the train back to the apartment because our dog is in her crate. Didn't get home until after 11pm.

Can't get a rental car on Sunday cause everything is still closed. My dad has an extra car, but my brother's car was in the shop as well so I can't borrow one. He junked my old car about a month ago because he had to have the e-brake removed for some reason so it wouldn't pass inspection anymore.

At the rental place this morning when it opened and it took almost an hour for them to pull a car around for me and I was the first person waiting.

Wife has classes until 9:30pm Tuesday and Wednesday so even if it gets fixed Tuesday or Wednesday I won't be able to get it until Thursday because I have to bring the rental car back near where we live, an hour and 15 minutes from the dealership. The only other thing I can think of is to drop the car off and take the two hour train back up and grab a cab.

This weekend sucked and this week isn't looking much better.

My boss just dropped this hand grenade of an email on us at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon on the entire staff and then booked it out of the building.


So for the last hour of my Friday at work our staff has determined either
A: He's sold the company.
B: We're all getting fired.
C: Both A & B.

Well this is gonna be a fun filled angst ridden weekend.

It was A. Meeting the new owner tomorrow. We'll see if it becomes B.

Not sure where else to post this. So one of our agents passed away a few months back. His place of business is/was a house where he rented some space to another agent. We got word today that this piece of shit agent in our region tried to buy the house strictly to evict the agent whose currently in the house. Some people are horrible.
