So found out we have a sort of competitor that charges over twice as much as us but they manage to have non profit status.
I'm not sure if I'm the fail or if craigslist people are. I put up a mint condition 50" LG 1080P Plasma for $250 and the best offer I have received is someone asking me to deliver it to them 30 miles away and only paying $140. Is my asking price that high?
Plasmas caught a pretty bad rep back when they came out for their short lifespan and weight, and LCD/LEDs outperform them in many aspects. I don't think $250 is overly too much, but fuck that drive + that offer. Those things aren't fun to haul with the heavy glass panel. With 4k and HDR being pushed, 1080Ps of all sizes have come down a good bit. Decent quality LCD/LED 50"s can be found in the $400-500 range pretty easily, with bargain brands going as low as high $200s. I'd look closer to a $200 range with some leeway if they'll come and get it, personally.
The only reason we're selling it is because we literally haven't used it in 8 months. A shame too because the darks and colors are brilliant. It's mainly to do with the lighting in our house and where I'd put the TV. Our main TV is a 60" LG plasma and forget trying to watch anything or play vidya that has a lot of dark scenes. It's impossible. I tried playing Bloodborne during the middle of the day and I literally couldn't see what was in front of me on the screen.
Saw this Tinder profile that made me feel old and audibly exhale and curse, "God damn milennials."
Spoiler: show
Millenials? Dude, that stupid shit has been going on for 50 years. Don't blame the next generation for taking up the mantle that the fucking retards before left.
She's 24. I just shake my head at young people calling themselves old souls and thinking they have the universe figured out and shit.
Have you met anyone under 25 before? That's every generation. They are terrible.
Not really, not since I myself was that age. Nowadays the only time I interact with people sub 30 is if they are my bartender/server or interning at my company.
I think I prefer it this way, tbh
Uncle left his kid w/ me last minute today and apparently I was supposed to feed him.
"If he gets hungry, put the pizza bites in the microwave"
Operative word being "if"
Kid didn't say shit to me about being hungry and I don't read minds. If you want something, speak up. I couldn't care less.
My uncle was like "why didn't you feed him he came up and asked me for food as soon as I got in the door"
"If he can ask you for food and not me, that's his own problem"
So first full month under new Comcast contract and they already reneging on the plan they told me. Base rate is higher for one but the promotion discount puts that to the same as the base with promotion what they told me including email so no big (at least for now it does mean that when deal ends it goes up even more).
But they added on undiscussed internet speed boosts for another $20 a month. If I was actually getting speed boosts I might not mind except I'm on the 200 mbps plan and only see at most 90-100 and as previously discussed often lately goes down to .5-10. Oddly upload often still stays at 10 regardless of download speeds. So effectively they want me to pay a bunch extra then discussed for less speed then promised. Yeah no
This is what I get for $50 a month and I use my own equipment. I'm on promo. I want to say it's $80/m otherwise. I don't think we even have anything higher speed wise in my area and the ONLY other option is uVerse which is around $40 for 25 down and you must buy their equipment.

Yeah that's about what I am when it's working and not being stupid and constantly resetting. And the base rate with promo is $50 a month... but $10 for their modem then another $20 for this lolspeed boost I'm not getting $7 for broadcast tv fee (wtf tv is part of the bundle. It's also been disabled since I went back on promo) then various taxes so $91. Calling them up and yell at them about these extra fees that weren't discussed (tv one isn't even on the email they sent me either) and that I'm not getting. Like I even specifically asked about any extra fees and they just said modem rental and the normal taxes/utility fees
