People in Calgary have no idea what a CV is. Yet, they know resume, which is a word of french origin. But I said CV my first 3 months here, and I got a bunch of "what's that" looks.

I couldn't for the life of me find my USB flash stick, my mom ran out of ink on her printer as well, and Kinko's couldn't/wouldn't print from a phone or tablet. Ended up asking my friend to print it out.

And my local library has weird hours. Some days they don't open until 12:30.

Then again, this girl is as dumb as a fucking doorknob, she's probably already incured close to 1000$ fees in 2-3 days just from data usage.

Wife woke me up after no hot water this morning -_-

Not in the mood to deal with shit, I quickly look up quotes for a plumber to fix frozen pipes. $600-$1500. Fuck that, I get myself up and consult the internet. I've fixed frozen heat pipes before, not water supply pipes (PEX vs. Copper). After 15 minutes of research I call my father in law to confirm the plan I have sounds right, and get to work.

30-45 minutes later, everything all fixed without me blowing apart any of my pipes.


Due to this, I of course had no time at all to relax before I had to leave for work, and ended up arriving late -_-. Saved a ton of money though.

Bought a truck last night and drove home with no problems. This morning, on the way to work, the windshield wiper blades basically crumbled into pieces on me. I had no idea it was so difficult to drive in the rain without wipers. Time for some RainX.

So, the other night my girlfriend and I were boinking when I started to feel like my left lung collapsed. That caused me to have a panic attack and we had to stop. I was freakingout thinking that this Bell's palsy has affected my lung and could put me back on oxygen.

Went to the hospital today and everything is perfect lung wise. My lung fictions are the highest they've ever been. Which is amazing and makes me feel so good. It turns out that the palsy is hitting a bit of my left arm, and left
Peck muscle along with my face.

I also learned today that my Bell's palsy might be caused from my first anti rejection med I was on. The one that gae me seizures three years ago. My doctor believes that there is damage left over which is why it seems to be affecting more than just my face.

Just got back from the eye doctor and found out I need glasses. I have in his words a rather severe astigmatism in both eyes. Ugh I have never had glasses before and I am nervous about needing to wear them full time now.

It'll feel weird at first, no doubt, but it's not so bad. When I was younger I always took my glasses off when playing sports, but now I just full-time them. Just shoot for some light/thin frames and stay away from anything that pushes too tightly at your temples.

I had moderate astigmatism which was corrected when I had LASIK. Depending on the type of astigmatism you have it may be an option, if you hate the glasses enough.
