Random Fail: First World Problems

My 2009 WRX that I owned for 5 years, and 90k miles only went to the dealership for issues twice.

My 2013 dodge charger that I've owned for 3k miles, has already been to the dealership 4 times.

This is a great start

Friend of mine got a Challenger a few years back. Went to the dealership several times a year. They ended up putting him in a new one and got rid of the financing for the other one because of the problems they had with it.

I really like the new Chargers though. Awful gas mileage, but they look nice.

Ordered pizza tonight. One hour passes, still no pie. Phoned them to make sure the order I placed online actually went through.

"Sorry sir, we are extremely busy due to tonight being Valentines. Your pizza left 10minutes ago and should be there soon."

Damn unromantic couples...ruining my dinner time.

I just had a long talk with my husband and in-laws tonight and found out a lot of interesting things. One of the most interesting is that I had always thought my mother-in-law was allergic to cats. Apparently this is not the case... she blames cats for the permanent partial blindness she has in one eye that started while she was pregnant with my husband (over 40 years ago). Some doctor told her that somehow the cat caused the condition, and that she would either have to take drugs to treat it or get rid of the baby. I'm fairly certain the condition in question would have been pre-eclampsia, and I have no idea how handling a cat could possibly cause it. The only cat-borne disease I've heard of being a problem during pregnancy is Toxoplasmosis, and that definitely does not cause blindness... Anyway, all these years later, my mother-in-law is blaming my husband's abnormal liver test results (slightly high on 2 out of 3 numbers, but negative for HepC) on our cats. I don't think there's anything I could show her to prove her wrong; even if my husband manages to improve his test numbers without us getting rid of any cats, I doubt it will change her mind.

My wife had pre-eclampsia when she was pregnant with Noah. It is not caused by exposure to cats. That's just retarded.

Is anyone else having weird problems with Google today? Every time I try to search for something it takes forever, and sometimes it doesn't even attempt to search at all. This happens from either the search bar in my browser or the Google homepage.

My personal fav was everyone trying to get me to get rid of our cats when I was pregnant because they fully believed cats go into the crib in the middle of the night and put their paws on the baby to suffocate them.

More likely that the cat would simply lay across the baby's face. That's not unusual for cats to do, but it's not dangerous for adults/older children because they can punt the cat if it interferes with their breathing. It's not like the cat is actively trying to murder people. It just wants a nice warm place to nap, and it happens that a lot of warmth is in the face/neck area.

Actually it is unusual for a cat to do this in regards to a baby/newborn.

The reports of this happening are so extremely rare, and even then some are reports of "well what else could it have been?" without knowing if it was actually the cat or not.

Cats for one, are terrified of newborns for the most part.

And those that aren't, are not stupid and are well aware it's a baby not an adult.

Yes, South Korean. She has had some other crazy ideas before, but this cat stuff seemed to come out of nowhere last night. Even my husband was surprised, since apparently she'd never told him about it either, she'd just told him she was allergic to cats. We run a cat cafe now, and of course she's always been against it, and now I have a better idea as to the reason why. We don't yet know what is causing my husband's abnormal liver numbers, as he doesn't drink or take any drugs, he's only slightly overweight and does not have any other chronic illness. MIL wanted us to shut down the cafe and get rid of all the cats, but we're going to instead exercise more, eat better, and retake the tests in 3 months to prove her wrong (hopefully).

And the funny thing, he's been like this since Highschool. Constantly overthinking stupid shit. He once went on a 5 hour discussion by himself about Politics. People stopped listening and caring after the first 10 minutes but he just wouldn't stop
