No, I truly didn't. LOL. I still don't see how you can throw out "debilitating pain means I can't have a job" -- Maybe you should pick up a job as a Laser tag instructor? I think you're just finally not whining about your situation, realizing it's not gonna change, dealing with it and moving on.

Being able to do laser tag sometimes doesn't mean he could do a job as a laser tag instructor. Maybe, idk, some days are better than others, so on the good days, he can have fun, but on the bad days, he's fired for not being able to work every other day.

Exactly this. There is no other way to say it. And I did have a job before. I was a casual security job(Worked like once a week, if that) which I quit because working and doing school was way too painful. But hey, you clearly spend every minute of every day with me and know how often I am in pain and when I'm able to do things, right?

Next 3 weeks I have a wiring contractor at the jail to do a bunch of work I needed done. Now I have other people crying that I am not able to be at my desk for my entire shift in case they need me to fix an error occurring between keyboard and chair. I'm amazed I haven't taken up alcohol with this job sometimes.

Issues at work have kept me there on the night shift, but tonight I'm off for the first time in two weeks.

Wife and daughter in bed, game installed, beer poured, and the power goes out. It's been an hour now, and still no power. Fuck.

In all seriousness, though, Jefe clarified that he believes everyone should be treated equally, and even if he could do with a hearty helping of sensitivity training, I'm not going to continue harping on him. Someone being an asshole isn't as much of my problem as someone who insists, under pressure, that homosexuality is wrong, which he did not do.

First, thank you—I'll take that as a compliment. Secondly, laundry is especially a bear in my household at the moment. Our washing machine is broken, and we have tried to fix it ourselves (such as with a new pump), but it's a no-go. I specifically prefer older machines due to their usually being very simple to repair, but it looks like ours has truly and definitively kicked the bucket. Until we find a suitable replacement on CraigsList, we have to haul our things to a laundromat.

EDIT: Since we're cheap, we haul them home wet, despite the additional weight, and dry them there.

i hate hand-washing dishes, but even if i could afford one there isn't really room in my apartment for a dishwasher. very sad.

I'm the exact opposite. Put my headphones in and I'll handwash the fuck out of dishes. I also have a bit of an OCD about being very thorough about cleaning though.

Yeah my Great Grandfather lives up there. If I ever moved back to the Bronx it'd be up there, for sure. You need to go east of the 2/5 train on E.Tremont. Pay off a couple of thugs and have them talk to your neighbor about her garbage ala Scared Straight.

I was in the same situation, but found a small counter-top dishwasher that took up only 2 extra inches of space compared to the drying rack i had. Never having to wash dishes was worth the loss in a little extra space.

There's a guy that was providing "security" for one of my jobs out in Brooklyn that would ask me every day if anyone was bothering me and he'd take care of it.

Washing dishes is the worst chore ever but I'm an adult and therefore my job is to suck it up and just get it done. I have a dishwasher in my apartment but I don't feel like I amass enough dishes to really use it.

I hate washing dishes, but end up doing it pretty much every day. The fiancee gets away with murder and when I make a comment about how I cook, clean, and get the groceries she gets offended.

I absolutely hate dishes... I don't mind other chores and growing up in my house as the "manual dishwasher" I vowed to make sure I'll always have a working one.
But in my apt I only ever need to do it every other week or so but taking them out after drying them out and placing them back just irritates me to no end.
Give me clothes to wash and dry and vacuum I'm ok with that

I got super spoiled. I didn't realize it until I left, but my parents must have had a mega dishwasher. We never rinsed, and barely scraped a dish before it went in.

I deliver pizza on the weekend so I occasionally have to manually wash their dishes, and I HATE IT.
