I've never heard of them as bad, but I too have a strong aversion to touching other people's food remnants. Not as bad as you, I can force myself to do it if I have to but I generally think it's disgusting. I don't mind if it's my boyfriend, but most of my friends/family nope, it grosses me out. Cleaning up my own dishes is fine but it's very hard to get me to do anyone else's.
I've always been very picky about food myself - I have a huge hangup about veins in meat, for example. I pick through my meat (steak, chicken, whatever) very thoroughly to make sure I don't accidentally eat any 'gross parts'. I usually won't eat skin, either. And forget about mystery meat. I've only recently started sometimes eating pepperoni again and only because it's spiced enough that it's tasty enough for me to ignore all the thoughts about what it is (I refused to eat it for a good 10 years though). You will never catch me eating a hotdog, bologna, salami, Taco Bell ground beef, etc. But often my criteria for edible meat are completely inconsistent, like how I ate apricot summer sausage at a Christmas party a couple years ago because it was DELICIOUS >_>
