Got buffalo wings for dinner. Ordered a side of ranch. Got bleu cheese instead. This happens at least 50% of the time, no matter where I go. Is it really that hard for restaurants to keep them separated in the back?![]()
To keep this short, new guy starts working (we're bankers), abuses the shit out of the fact that our boss lets us manage ourselves (including lunch when we want during the day, an entire weekday off when we work 1/2 day Saturday, basically whatever as long as the branch is staffed and our numbers are good), now we get no weekdays off, scheduled monitored lunches, and have to stay late one day a week cold-calling (something we NEVER ever did, we just called our normal clients during the day).
Since I don't value my job like I should, I of course talk to my boss about the entire team suffering for one person's inability to act like a responsible adult. I'm not sure that I got my point across like I meant to, but I was told we're going to follow company policy 100% now. I spent "call night" printing out and highlighting pertinent company policies, this should be a fun week...
Isn't it against federal labor laws to monitor employee lunch breaks?
Yo, Shopkick's started making sure I'm actually at the correct store before letting me scan shit for them points. Any way to fix this so I can go back to just scanning shit from my pc?
Joey Diaz is that fucking dude lol.
I am so sick of people at work putting words in my mouth. "You approved X." When X is in complete contrary to our policy. I really hate when people try to strongarm me into going back on policy, or when they think they're going to be cute with me or something to get around things.
New clients need credit approvals, this is not a new policy and it is not ever going to change. Trying to tell me "Well they are already approved" when I can look in the database that's right in front of me as well as in my e-mail history and see that they are most assuredly not is not only making you look stupid and like a petulant child who can't get your way, but also is an insult to my intelligence. I'm truly sorry you lied to your client. That's not my problem, and no, I am not going to ignore policy and contact your client when you're the one that screwed up and it is a clear and known policy that I do not contact clients under any circumstances.
I swear to god. It's only 10AM and I'm about to stab a bitch. She's actually pretty lucky right now that she's in the Phoenix office.
Ah the Sales Dept. vs Accounting Dept.
Nice to meet you, I'm on the opposite team though lol. It's funny how the other side are always the incompetent ones. I had a similar situation with a customer this morning. My issue was accounting had the damn credit references/application for over a week, and never ran the D&B Report or call the credit references in order to get the account set up. Now I have $20,000 Order sitting on my desk that needs to ship today, otherwise it's just a useless piece of paper. Of course accounting didn't give a fuck (they don't get paid commission), until I emailed the owner the email chain dated from last week. Then they were running around like idiots to get everything set up.
(No I didn't rat anyone out. The owner knew I had the Purchase Order in hand and was wondering why it wasn't being pulled/processed.)
Yeah we had an account executive send a credit application to an old/dead e-mail address then get mad at us when we didn't receive it ... um you're using a credit app from 2005 of course it's not going to work.
And yeah, we asked everyone to update their records and discontinue use of old forms but you know how that goes. My brain fucking hurts today ...
If it makes you two feel any better, I work in a compliance role and I think both your teams are going to run things into the ground.
