Old man's been freaking out lately thinking there's a camera in his Comcast box. I know we're more keen on mocking the Kinect and such while hating the shit the NSA and the like does, too, but yeah... tinfoil hat time.

My coworker is convinced our office is bugged, but people do have an uncanny way of calling or e-mailing about the exact issues we talk about. Though that probably has to do with the fact that we send out our e-mails for whatever issue, then bitch about it, then get a response.
2 weeks ago i was eating a milky way, crunched hard on 2 pieces of broken gears in the candy bar, broke my tooth in half, called them, made a report, talked to my lawyer brother who told me everything to do
today i get a package in the mail from mars bars to send the offending candy bar and gear pieces back in, ALONG WITH $20 IN COUPONS FOR MORE CANDY
-.- yeah, this is not going to end well for them
Dude you're rich.
I forgot to use a dryer sheet with my last load of laundry, now my basketball shorts are clinging to my thighs like mad =(.
When I was in Tech Support, we had a lady that would call in stating the same thing, but a camera inside his TWC box. We kept telling her no, and she would call back in until she asked for a supe... and after 20 minutes of not listening, I finally started having some fun with her "Ma'am, there is no possible way we have a camera inside your box... and by the way, that dress you are wearing is hideous." Shot in the dark, and I guess she was wearing a dress, because she freaked out and hung up the phone. Two days later, she canceled her service :-/
Abandon kicked me out of the win thread; so I am here!
So last week my son got one of his front teeth kicked in at daycare, then my wife and I both got the flu and were sick yesterday and today, then this morning I get a phone call telling me that I was laid off.
Sucks dude, put your son in some MMA or something. Just started my step-daughter in Karate, her first day in school she had a fight where 3 boys tried to pick on her and she tossed them all to the ground lol
Her class has 2 teachers, the main teacher pulled me aside to talk to me about it, after that the 2nd teacher spoke to me and told me she saw the whole thing and how it wasn't my girls fault and she was just protecting herself, why the first teacher was a bitch when the other one saw it who knows, but I gave my girl mad props after what the 2nd teacher told me lol
ouch zoober that sucks :X
We will put him into some sort of martial art if he wants to but right now he is only 2, he was kicked by a 4 year old because the teachers combined classes at the end of the day.
Edit: To be fair I already posted about my son last week in this thread but I thought it might put the week into perspective since the fails just kept coming.
I need immunization records in order to register for the university I'm planning to attend.
Okay, I have been stuck by needles several times in 33 years, most recently when I joined the Army, but I wasn't allowed to keep those records when I got out, so I asked my mom for my old medical file and faxed that to the Health and Services department and it's not acceptable because it isn't some official document.
Okay. It was 1981. Record keeping wasn't exactly stellar back then. I can't remember my pediatrician's name, but I'm pretty sure he died, and I know the old facility that I used to go to is long gone. I could try to contact the health department but my hopes of getting anything from them, especially in time for the start of the semester, are pretty much shot to hell.
So it looks like I'm going to have to get a full battery of painful shots in order to bypass this, and while I'm perfectly okay with tattoo needles, I really dislike getting shots.
Fuck.
lol went to donate blood and tested 10.0 for my iron; lowest it's ever been.
No wonder my workouts have been shitty this past month
I used to give blood but had to stop due to my iron level always being just under the minimum amount needed. Also, a couple of times I was just over the minimum amount. I'd lay on the trolley and be ignored for 20mins while the blood is being drained. They'd come back and have a look at the bag of blood and stop it because I haven't given enough blood in the allotted time. The bag would be half full and they tell me it's going to have to be chucked. I gave up in the end.
ah; I've never had that issue. But then again, I never go on the busses, I go to the main center. I've given 6 gallons now over the years and I have people I see on a regular basis/have regular small talk with, etc. They treat me pretty well.
The iron thing is pretty recent (within the past 2-3 years); I've been donating since I was 16 (I'm 25 now)
I used to donate all the time, once I got a tattoo however they told me I wasn't allowed to donate for 3yrs(?) I think it was. Been ages since I've donated now, they still call my moms house all the time asking for me (Can only assume it's cause I'm O -), should look into starting again since I haven't got a tattoo in ages now, is there any restrictions when donating in regards to what types of medication you're allowed/not allowed to be on?
