Random Fail: First World Problems

So, as I posted in the fuck ya thread, I won a $100 gift card to the disney store. I was going to let my daughter pick out a bunch of stuff for her bday at the store outside disneyland. The prize was like the grand prize from a bunch of contests. The other ones gave out $25 gift cards. Got my card in the mail finally on friday...yep...$25...emailed the website with pictures n' such to say they gave me the wrong prize. Got an email yesterday saying someone from their prize department would contact me...waiting on that. Sucks because I am sure things will get sorted out, but her bday is on the 28th, so we are going to disney on the 27th. It took awhile for the card to get here, so if they get this sorted out I may or may not get it in time.

Not the end of the world, we can still use it, but it would be really nice for her to have fun about gifts while she's actually there. Plus, the disney sore outside disneyland is fucking monstrous compared to the ones in the malls, so more choices for her.

That blows that they screwed up the prize. Hopefully they make it right for you guys. And yes the Disney store at downtown Disney is nuts. There is a reason why the wife and I don't go there till the day we go home unless we need something specific, like the day I managed to dump an entire bottle of chocolate milk all over myself in the park.....

Is there a disney membership thing you can sign up for? Maybe you could sign up for that, and then have them credit it to your account. Or, depending on how their gift card system works, they could credit it to the gift card you have now. Or just explain about your plans and ask if they can rush it. Letting parents entertain their kids is literally how they make their living; they should be pretty accommodating in this. If at any time someone you're talking to says they don't know if they can do that, ask for a manager (or next rank up, whatever). they'll know. or have the power to decide. just, yknow, be nice about it.

Ya idk. I am pretty sure they'll make it right, it's just about the timing. I did mention in the email we were going to disneyland. Problem is the contest wasn't directly from Disney, it was a different website that was partnering with Disney (I assume disney donated the cards to the site, sounded kinda like a disney advertising thing). So I imagine they (the website) may try to get disney to give them another card or something. I am still waiting on the prize dude to contact me.

So doc tells me to go get a CT scan. Says I seem to have a lesion on my spine. Just read there's a chance those can be cancerous. Can't make the appt until tomorrow so I'm stuck here freaking myself out.

Had to put down my girlfriends dog less then an hour ago.

I didn't shed a tear the whole time, even though I was very upset. My gf ran out when it came time to put her down, so I leave and console her. I stayed outside until her parents came out, they couldn't watch either, but I couldn't leave her there with out someone she knows. Being the only family there while she went is what broke me though =( a life filled with 14 years of experience ending in the few seconds it takes to inject some drugs, how depressing.

Oh I took pain pills. I actually just woke up. Time to pass out again.

I had all four wisdom out at once. I had been experiencing excruciating pain in my lower jaw and the doc said it was from a wisdom tooth touching a nerve. Said fuck it, had 'em out the next day (New Year's Eve) and 45 minutes later I was home, falling asleep.

Took one painkiller, went out to a party that night, and recovered quickly and painlessly. Then, painkillers for a rainy day! And time off work! Ugh, wish I could do it again.
