I never did reverse my argument. I've always stated they should work on their debts. But feel free to continue your internet crusade. If you are so concerned about the plights of murderer's, thieves, drug dealers, rapists, etc contact your local county jail and ask what you need to do for volunteer programs. Until you are actually doing something besides your petty internet crusade about inmate rights, you can kindly shut the fuck up.

I'd love to, but various health problems make it difficult to even take care of myself, let alone help others too.

That said, I would hardly consider doing work to get days off your sentence slave labor. Hell most of them would do work without that perk just to get time out of their cells. But what do you know. All you can do is find something you don't like and rail against it on the internet.

I think it's good to give them an option to work. If they want to, because they think it'd be good for them, then that's great. But that's not the same as forcing them to work.

Sprint is a fucking pile of dogshit.

I've lived in this apartment for two years and dealt with spotty cell phone service at best, it takes me upwards of 15 minutes to send text messages unless I actually leave the building and walk like 25 meters outside, and forget phone calls, I was on the phone with my dad for 20 minutes and the call dropped three separate fucking times before I said fuck it and told my dad I would call him some other time.

Then I call their customer service and they offer me to get some kind of signal booster that they hook up through my internet to make the signal better, but they want to charge me $25 a month for it. When I already pay them $95 monthly (this includes an international plan which is expensive I won't lie) and the problem isn't with my phone or my apartment, but their fucking crappy signal. So I ask when my contract is expired and it already is, I'm "month to month" until I buy a new phone and renew, so guess what Sprint, I'm done with your shit forever.

Had the same problem with sprint at my house, and they wanted me to do that cell phone booster monthly as well.

When they brought up the price per month, I then just told them I'd rather pay to cancel my service and goto a provider that will actually give me service.

It's true. They're extremely overpriced. There's no reason to go with any of the big name cell phone providers nowadays, either, since there are plenty of low-cost alternatives (who piggy-back off of the bigger guys anyway, which means you'll get good coverage for a fraction of the price).

I had Verizon originally, but didn't want to continue paying ridiculous prices for what I was getting. I switched to Page Plus, which can be used on my Verizon devices, so I didn't have to pay for new phones. It's $29.95 a month for 1,200 minutes, 3,000 texts, and 500 MB of data. I don't need any more than that, as I would never use it up.

Depending upon the type of phone you have, you may be able to get unlimited plans through month-to-month MVNOs that are $30~$35.

The only problem I have with some of the month to month places around here is that a lot of them don't auto-debit from my account, and I'm fucking forgetful as shit. I was with metroPCS for a while but I would never pay them on time and they'd shut me down almost immediately, which got really annoying. Not sure if that's changed though.

I got a flier from T-Mobile the other day which advertised a $60 rate, unsure how much more it would cost me with international, which is where a lot of my cost goes, honestly, but I need to be able to call Mexico. I'm gonna do some shopping tomorrow after work though.

Friday we got audited at work, Loss Prevention told us to lock up the xbox ones in a display case instead of leaving them on the floor behind the counter (where we always have the cashier). Less than 48 hours later, two idiots broke into the display case and stole two Xbox Ones, when we have left various expensive products behind the counter since I started working there without any issues.


Store was packed, and it was the middle of day time, so about 20 people saw it happen, and 2-3 people came with descriptions and license plates. When I gave to the cop, he radioed in, then said "yeah, we have a good idea of who this is, they're not that smart".

So my new position covers all of southeast Ohio. Which means I have to take road trips out to visit the garages. I'm also covering for a rep while he recovers from knee surgery. We find out today that the rep was just terminated for being in 3 accidents in one year. All his fault. In the company car. So I'm stuck now with all of West Virginia on top of my primary assignments. Fuck.

I'm developing an anxiety disorder.

A rat collective has began in my house. First noticed two rats on Thursday night. Small.

Saturday it reached a crescendo. One was hanging outside my window all day (it posed for photos). Then, that night I woke up to it nibbling on plastic in my room.

Woke up at 4am last night to a bite on my toe.
Slept in my housemate's room spooning a sweeping brush. Kept going between this twilight wake/sleep consciousness where I'd fall asleep and then wake up with a startle and bang the brush and sometimes they'd scurry away.


Woke up late for work and I'm exhausted/anxious/angry/ easily startled.

I set traps yesterday and killed two so far, but last night deff heard at least 3 more. My housemate won't let me set poison in the house because 'its inhumane/they'll die in the walls', and he is waiting on the amazon package of a humane catch-release system.

I also don't have health insurance so I'm afraid I have the plague.


I'm paying 500$ a month for a cell, where rats are biting me. I hate New York and America and I want to go home

Vermin dying in the walls is a legit concern, but fuck those things. Get some heavy duty reusable traps and peanut butter. Your rat problems will be solved in a week. Maybe faster if you grab some tiny pikes and mount the dead ones as a warning to the others. Or maybe I've just watched too much Game of Thrones lately.

Only person who knows about the landlord is a guy who is in LA for two weeks.

The apartment is apparently being let without a lease. The guy who 'collects rent etc' is apprehensive of bothering the landlord because the rent in the area is well below market value.

It's below market value because of things like: a drug dealer operating on the stoop, a group of people who live in a basement who operate a quasi-recycling plant (they collect glasses/bottles from bins etc) at all hours, a latino mechanic who operates on the street, and finally the complete disrepair of the house.

I moved in because I was homeless and the area was great. Now, I'm staying because they never accepted a deposit from me and I dont have enough money for first months rent/ deposit elsewhere (not to mention 500$ in williamsburg).

Not really a first world problem, but inconvenient all the same. I work 8:30-5. I get home at about 5:25 every day. Get changed and go outside for a jog, since it's gorgeous out.

Pass by random patrol car, nod at cop with a smile as I tend to do. Most of them over here are decent enough and I have some friends on the force. Continue walking. Cop car turns around. Cop gets out and says "Excuse me, sir."

They tell me to spread em on the fence. Proceed to question me and empty my pockets. Apparently they got a report of a bald white guy who was fighting close by. I fit the description. One asks if I've been fighting to which I just said "I've never been in a fight in my life." The other asks "So you weren't just in a fight?" I say, "Yeah I'm pretty sure." They noted my finger was a bit fucked up (I had a biopsy on my index figure a couple weeks ago)

After they see I'm clearly not the guy (I'm pretty much the most passive person you'll find), they let me go and thanked me for cooperating. It took about 10 minutes. 10 minutes out of my jog. Sigh. I don't live in a sketchy neighborhood either.
