So some guy just randomly comes in today and starts setting up his shit in this office, gets on the phone and starts being loud and not once did he ever ask if the office was in use or if it was okay to just be in there.

You have excellent taste, the dude needs to pull that ramrod out. (Though, yeah, Oglaf isn't really for anyone not completely secure in themselves.)
I'd say do not cancel your visit, protect and store your shit. Or at least, without passing the convo on or hinting at it to your parents, somehow make sure they keep an eye on your stuff so that it all stays where it is.

MaachaQ that sucks and it made me sad to read that. Personally my advice would be to get confrontational but honest with his ass. A lot of people are saying to cut ties and that's easy to say from an outside perspective but this IS family. What I would try is to start a conversation preferably in person. I would ask why they seem to dislike me so much point blank. I would explain that each gift I gave was intended to be thoughtful, and you thought they'd like it if they gave them a try. ( BTW, I don't think the gifts themselves were the problem. They clearly seem to have a very negative view of you and this is the attitude they go into when receiving ANYTHING from you. THAT is the problem.)

IDK what your history is like but there is some serious deep seated shit there, and they're not being up front about it at all.

I have four brothers (One of which I lived with from 2-14; the others I've never lived w/ though) and don't talk to a single one of them. Not that difficult

One lives about 3 miles from me. Haven't talked to him in maybe 2 years now (even then last we talked was a coincidence. He was going to the same school as me for night class and I stayed late for a school event, so happened to run into him as he was headed to class) and I don't even know his daughter's name

So, the last two days I haven't been sleeping well. Last night I took some sleeping pills. I remember going to bed with my Girlfriend. I wake up just now to take my pills and I have several tabs open on my computer. All research on The Binding Of Bahamut Coil turn 1. Ontop of that I have written out...this on our FFXIV website. I remember none of this, don't know if I made posts or texts or anything else. Sleeping Pill Myrrh shouldn't have been able to be up last night. I went to bed, not blacked out.

Turns out, he shares an office with someone and when he noticed that we have an open space, he just assumed he could come in here, didn't get approval from anyone, just came on in. I brought it up with my supervisor because I'm uncomfortable talking about client-related information with someone not in the department listening in, and she went to the senior exec in the building and found out that no, he was not given permission to go in there.

Not to mention, we store confidential client paperwork in there and it is locked at night, there's no reason anyone but people from our department should be in here. Not saying that the guy is shady or going to go through credit files, but really.

And just to come in here and have conference calls on speaker phone with the door open? That's just ignorant.

I don't get the people talking about "Oh it's FAMILY, they're always there for you, forever." That's never been my life experience. My dad has a vacant condo and if I were to get evicted he'd pat me on the back and let me out on the street before letting me move in, and yes, it's 100% vacant, no one has lived there for years.

If that doesn't fit as "first world problem" here's another one: I work one shift a week before 5pm. That's Wednesdays I start at 11, and I can never get to sleep before 5-6am on Tuesday nights because I'm up until 5-8am the rest of the week since I can sleep in until 3-4pm, so I'm always dead tired every Wednesday.

I didn't even know people had/have good family relationships. I thought the entire bloodline being massive pieces of shit was normal. Aunt became a nurse so she could take care of my rich grandpa by slowly killing him and getting her name on on his stuff, I have Nieces and nephews who are like 6-12 years old who hit, swear at, and steal from their parents. I have Aunts who are so caught up in drugs/stealing from my grandpa, or finding ways of family members with member to steal from them or rip them off.

My own brothers have stolen from me on a regular basis when I lived on home, both have wished that I didn't survive my transplant and are "jealous" of the attention I get from my mom. My mom just uses me as a sympathy card to get out of anything or to just get attention. I remember when I got one of my first back pain procedures done. She called and told atleast 14 people that I counted when I was around that she couldn't talk on the phone right now as I was about to go in for my back surgery.

Like, the list goes on.

But onto random fail for my life lately. I had my Pain clinic doctor and my Lung transplant doctor basically tell me to go fuck myself. That was fun.

See, I leave for a Minni/Vegas trip this Friday morning. I've told all my doctors about this months in advanced. Been paid for and everything. Well 2 weeks ago, they decided to try me on a new pain killer thing. a drug called "Baclofen". Zero fucking benefit from it at all. I've had many days in the last week where I can barely stand without crying in intense pain. I call pain clinic in a panic on Sunday(closed but still left a message), monday afternoon, and twice on Tuesday. I finally got a call back and they told me that the Doctor won't give me anything because "It's not guaranteed to work(Nothing is guaranteed to work anyways in medicine, so yeah) and how if I tried to see another Doctor he'd put out a notice saying that they aren't allowed to deal with me. I tried to stress many times at how I need those pills to really function in a high energy and movement thing like a vegas trip. Just got repeated the same shit over and over.

After that phone call I decided to call my trusty Transplant doctor. She's been there for me in times of great need. LOLFUCKINGNOPE. I call her up, pain and concern in my voice. She tells me that she won't give me anything because she just doesn't like to. After pleading with her, she started to say "Well, your pain must not be bad if you can go on a trip." Now, here's the fucking thing. I planned this trip MONTHS ago, when my pain was moderately under control. I informed both Pain clinic and my doctor of such trip in Jan, in Feb, in March, and in late April when I had to get drug letters saying I'm on all these meds.

I told her that I planned this trip months ago and everything is already paid for and everything. Her next suggestion was to just cancel the trip and go another time. Because I'll totally get that 1800 dollars my GF and I spent back paying for this trip. That's how life works right!? After fighting with her about how fucking stupid that logic was. She jumped back to the "Can't be that bad if you're going on a trip". I told her out right. "Listen, I spent my entire life dying, unable to enjoy any pleasure in life. I planned this trip when my pain was under control and you guys had a plan. I will never let anything stop me from enjoying what little time I could have left on this earth. Pain or not. It would be nice if I could do such life enjoyments without pain, but I guess not."

To which she says "Oh, don't use that card. That's like comparing apples to oranges. You didn't enjoy life before because you couldn't breath. Not because of back pain."

Now keep in mind, THESE ARE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH ME FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS. They know me, they have tested me many many many many times for street drugs. I have done every god damn plan they wanted me to to help with my pain, Acupuncture, massage, stretching, a host of other shit, i've been on 7 different Anti-depressants, atleast 6 different types of narcotics, several other things that were "Well, let's see if this works", and count needles rammed into my spine, my nerves, and coming next month, all the muscles in my back.

But I beg them to give me something that will let me be able to enjoy my trip and they basically tell me to go fuck myself. I am debating about going to the news about this when I get back. These mother fuckers broke my back to begin with. I so badly wish this was the USA so I could fucking sue their cunting asses back to McDonalds.

Fuck, I am in such a horrid mood now. I'm honestly tempted to not even go on this trip and flush all that money just so I don't have to be in pain.

Hell, even the uncle I live with. I stay upstairs and he stays downstairs. Have gone weeks at a time w/o having even seen each other. I remember once I told him I liked his hair cut and he said "Thanks, I got it 2 weeks ago" lmao
