Random Fail: First World Problems

so, some air bubbles possibly saved my life today.

i go in for my iron infusion. they're trying out a new type of iron; it's supposed to be safer, more efficient, and more effective. sounds great! We get my IV all hooked up, the nurse starts the IV pump, it chugs a few times, then the pump complains "YO BITCH THERE'S AIR IN THIS IV LINE I CAN'T WORK LIKE THIS" so the nurse shuts it down again and starts flicking the lines to get the air above the pump, where it can deal. We're holding a conversation the whole time. All of a sudden my guts get all warm and do a fucking flip, then insist they need to poop RIGHT THE HELL NOW. I know better, so I hold it. But that requires my attention, so I stop talking mid-sentence. Nurse looks over and asks if I'm okay, and I start trying to think of how to explain the sensation that is happening. Then the stars came out. Right there in the hospital room! Very pretty. Ursa minor something something. I realize what's happening, try to say so. OH FUCK. I CAN'T FUCKING BREATHE. Start pumping my lungs as much as I can, get as much air as I can before my throat closes off completely. Best I can get out is "Can't breathe" in a panicky whisper. Nurse runs and grabs the doctor and her team, who were just about to leave for the day. They slap an oxygen mask on my face and start attaching all the usual diagnostic instruments. Fortunately, by the time they finish attaching everything, the attack has peaked. My body pumped out enough adrenaline to prevent full-blown anaphylaxis... but only because those bubbles in the line stopped the infusion before I'd gotten more than a few milliliters.

After coming most of the way down off the adrenaline rush, I left. This was on the radio when I started my car.

I thought it was amusing. Theme song for the day!

I don't get snow, but I get cold. I actually hate air conditioning because I'm usually freezing even when it's like 99 degrees outside. I shouldn't have to wear big bulky sweaters in Florida in May. I'm just cold blooded.

I'm talking about inside. I'm freezing indoors when it's hot out because most places are fucking freezing. I barely use my air conditioning at all because I don't really need it. But I don't understand artificially creating a fucking freezing environment. Cooling off is one thing but when people (not just me) are shivering and wearing sweaters in the middle of summer, something is fucking wrong with that.

So I don't know if this is a fail or if I'm just being impatient - figured I would ask

Filed my taxes electronically around April 2, ya ya I shoulda done it months earlier. So I wasn't expecting my return that soon, but even when I file late I usually get it by May. Now I call the Where's my Refund shit and they say it was mailed out April 17. Told me I couldn't call back for any help until May 15. Called yesterday and they gave the same message so I figure they actually meant 16 those assholes. Whatever. Call em today. All they do is say ok we'll send you another one within 45 days. Fuck! I need this money! It's a very sizeable return that offsets a very sizeable fee due to the State that I of course had to pay in like 5 days from having been filed.

And the whole time I couldn't talk to a human. Not once. Tried different numbers. Different button presses. Different words. All automated. No one could tell me shit.

Yeah Melena always kept me updated but having been homeless myself for several months in Florida when I was younger..it still fucking sucks so I really hope something works out for you.
I have a lot of respect for someone like you who actually tries to make something happen. I just feel bad I'm not in a position to help someone who actually fucking deserves it imo.

Neg; just some odd jobs when I can find it. With the way my school schedule was (15 credits last semester + 2hrs/day transportation as it was an hour each way), I couldn't get any places to accommodate (since they wanted more availability). Hell, wasn't even able to get a job at Publix or McDonalds, lol.

I think the most fail is that he makes $1,800 a week @.@ I have no clue what the fuck he spends his money on lol. I see cocaine on the table once in a while, but only when he has his gf over lol

I know that feeling, right now I'm working at 6AM until 1 (MWF) to get to USF by 2, and 6AM until 2:30 (TTh) to get to USF by 3:30 for classes. I'm lucky as fuck that they're being that flexible with me honestly. Most places don't like to work around school schedules very well.

I know a place that's always hiring but I wouldn't wish that shit on my worst enemy. One of my good friends is going through a lawsuit with them right now, so stay away! lol

You could try the temp agency route which is what I'm doing now, Adecco is pretty good and they got me a job in like 10 days.
