To be fair, this is a stop-gap entry-level temp job that I'm working long enough to put myself through college. Once I get a teaching job I'll be making at least $12k more a year.

Oh I know , however just overall not just in Florida I feel people don't get paid enough for what they do professionally especially teachers. I don't mind I make a lower wage because of the fact I don't have the formal education others do. I just hate it when those who have achieved greater things get fucked over. I've just known several people who had to go to S.Korea to teach or abroad because there is nothing here for them in various areas.

I'm content with leaving for a few years if I can't find a job. I do love it here but I can move for a job (or if my boyfriend and I get married and he needs to move). Teaching is one of those things I can take almost anywhere. That's not the reason I chose it, of course, but it's an added bonus.
