This morning when I got to work, I had planned on sending everyone home at 1:30 for a nice early day to start the holiday weekend. But now we have to work until 2:30 because of some mechanical issues that have to be fixed...Now I have to wait to enjoy my 3 day weekend...

And whats the difference if I get robbed after closing time or before closing time? Either way its a man with a gun in my face who wants the money from the till. The only difference is the extra 10 seconds it takes for me to open it for him.

The difference is that people tend to wait until closing time since there shouldn't be many people around. Plus they know that's when the cash is handled.

The odds are far more in your favor if that door/gate is locked than if they can just walk in and point the gun in your face. Or am I missing something here? I mean, hell, then they don't need a gun. They can walk in and rob you at knife point, knock your ass out, w/e.

Ya, people can still break in or try to get you to unlock it. But then I'd have to ask why the hell you're counting the tills in an exposed area. Take that shit to the back.

Generally yes, but most thieves arent lookin up their rap sheet should they get caught. Rob a store for 300 bucks, its generally a low profile case and if u get caught its hardly any jail time. Rob a store for 300 bucks and beat up/injure the employee and its not such a low profile case, and possible jail time goes up. Add in homicide, more people lookin for ya, and its significant jail time.

Any employee whos stupid enough to try and defend their boss' money is fuckin dumb. Plain and simple.

need to get my wisdom teeth out. have about 500$. fucking a my mouth hurts so much.....at least the vicodin makes it a little fun

also got a seatbelt ticket on monday. didnt have it on cuz i was making deliveries and going .6 of a mile. fucking dick.

on a positive note, i did get a 95 on my dispatcher written exam for the city next to me!

The trick is to carry around a kitten with you while you ask for money. Just the presence of a kitten will prevail on people's good nature and sympathy and they will give you buckets of cash :D

I'm lucky, was going to have my wisdom out as it came in sideways but after my dentist took an x-ray he said there was a 1 in 300 chance of fucking up my lower jaw as the root was close to one of the nerves. They're taking the tooth out next to it which has started to decay anyway so it makes sense in the end.

Thanks for proving my point. If it's more trouble than it's worth (i.e. the door is locked) then it will deter some.

It has nothing to do with protecting or defending money. You give that shit up no questions if they do come in and rob you. It's about minimizing your own risk by simply locking the door (which deters many) and not having money in plain sight (which creates temptation).

Just got a text from fiance, i'm up in New York right now visiting family and apparently her mom went on a bitch rampage about how the room I stay in down there isn't spotless and clean to her OCD standards, but she blamed it all on the fiance and not me because she knows her daughter has anxiety issues so yelling at her helps a lot. Can't wait to drive back down now...

Because someone lookin to rob the store wont break the windows to get in...since u dont know the layout, the only gate is infront of the door, next to it is a huge window completely unguarded. If someone tugs on the door with malicious intent, theyre probably dressed in a very suspect manner, and at that point are dead set on making an attempted robbery, one way or another.

Also, that store was robbed twice, both times was at night during hours of operation, not post close.
