I truly truly truly truly TRULY fucking hate every fucking medical professional in this stupid fucking god damn city. As you all know, I have had my issues with pain clinic here giving me anything for my back. I have expressed these concerns in a calm and nice manner to the Doctors, Nurses, and secretaries of Pain Clinic. They still have done shit all.
So, I went to Patient Advocacy. I told them my story of the last 3 years. The meds I've been on, the way I've been treated, the many drug tests I've had and after a week of "investigation" I get an email from them today saying that I SHOULD CALL PAIN CLINIC AND FUCKING EXPRESS MY CONCERNS ABOUT MY LACK OF TREATMENT. ARE YOU FUCKING BULLSHITING KIDDING ME!? Jesus fucking christ, I want to go on a fucking killing spree. Fuck.
Holy hell I'm pissed off.
at least its free
Are we seeing the breakdown of Myrhh going through pain med withdrawals?
I haven't had pain meds for almost two months. This me fucking pissed off
How long does detoxing take?
dude has someone else's lung. he shouldnt be detoxing at all.
true. I guess if he had the broken back before the lung, he wouldn't have gotten the lung at all...
Lungs*
Also, how does a broken back play into whether or not I get lungs?
ah yes. i couldn't remember if it was one or both.
Yesterday I spent $482 for a plane ticket up north and rental car for a 4 day weekend on 4th of July to surprise my family - parents, of course, but my grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., most of whom haven't seen me in 6 years. I'm super excited for this because I love pulling that kind of shit and shocking the hell out of everyone ...
So today my dad calls me and asks me to look up prices for a plane ticket next weekend for his retirement party, essentially shitting on my plans to surprise everyone. So of course I told him I had already bought another ticket and he ruined my surprise but I can make plans to hang with some old high school people that I'm still close with and spend more time with my mom when I come up in July but ... dammit ... and I can't surprise my mom after that because I can't just go up to PA and not spend a little time with my mom at all.
I love my dad and I'm stoked that he wants to fund a trip for me but if I had waited just a day I could have saved myself nearly $500 lol. Oh well it's still a great deal for a holiday weekend and I need the vacation. Just ... yeah this is definitely a #FWP
Because of the opiates. Not a doctor but when someone is on pain meds for so long they do develop a dependency and correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't that put a person on the "not allowed to have a transplant" list?
No, that's retarded to even think so
Yea, because the medicines you would have been taking for a long time would have no weigh in on whether or not someone would be allowed a lung transplant. Opiates would have sent up a red flag is all I am saying.
How you use them would be a red flag and even then that's unlikely. If you took hard drugs it could cause you to have a difficult time getting on the list as would probably effect the tests required when the organ became available. That's it.
huge huge huge huge difference between opioid medication taken the way it's supposed to and recreational use.
as an example, the opiate anti-diarrheal i'm taking. it comes in 2mg pills. i take 1-2 pills at a time, 3-4 times daily, as prescribed. 8 pills, 16 mg, max/day.
people use this drug to get high. I learned this when I stopped suddenly, experienced relatively minor withdrawal, and looked it up.
These abusers are talking about taking fucking 80 pills a day. literally ten times the recommended dose. its not a pain med, but the same principle applies. there's a HUGE difference between abuse and normal use, and it's fairly easy for doctors to tell the difference if they're at all looking.
I have been up for 36 hours straight, and I just got ordered to work a midnight shift.
Fuck my life
i remember hearing some rabblerousing about treating extremely-tired-driving like DUIs, but since it would be ridiculous to enforce it never went anywhere.
shit is comparable, though.
