Jury duty follows me around.

Moved to FL to go to college, and shortly thereafter, MO tries to get me to do jury duty. My mom had to fake my signature and provide some evidence that I didn't live there anymore. Moved to TX for job, and shortly thereafter, FL tries to get me to do jury duty. No one in my family even lived in FL anymore, so it was a pain in the ass to get them to let me off the hook. Lived in TX for 5 years and got tagged again. Thankfully, all I had to do was call a phone number and they were like "we don't need you today."

I'm not even 30 and they've tried to call me up for jury duty 3 times already, christ. My wife got jury duty once and just threw it in the trash; no repercussions.

34 here, and I've been summoned more than 20 times, one time by three different counties within a week, my current address and my two previous. My wife's 36, and has never been summoned. I've shown up to all of them that were still applicable to me, and never once been selected to sit in on a trial. Once I was dismissed immediately after being asked by the prosecutor, "What does the defendant have to do to prove their innocence to you?" and I responded, "It's my understanding it's the job of the prosecution to persuade as he's assumed innocent until proven otherwise." Immediately told they don't need me around.
