From a week ago, I was on vacation overseas, with my sister, grandma and a friend. On the our way home, since I'm traveling with an elderly I asked for a wheelchair escort for my grandma. We arrived at Houston Airport, and the wheelchair escort guy we had couldn't be any more creepier, He had long hair and a big baldspot on the back part of his head. At one point I thought he was a serial killer. As we walk he would ask random/personal stuff to me/my sister/my friend, and we would just politely deflect the questions, but he kept asking. He would also say "Hey, how's it going?" to every single person we pass (which about 90% of them would just ignore him lol).

When we were at a line, out of nowhere he asked "Hey, do you guys play online game?"...... silence ........ I answered.. "........ no........" , he answered back again, "Oh that's too bad, my guild could use a player or two." I tried so hard not to burst out laughing. Luckily, it was all paranoia on our part, we didn't get serially killed.

What are the odds he's a poster here and finds this.

When I lived in Boston I cooked in my schools restaurant.(they actually had a little restaurant for teachers) That's about it though.

I just need to fucking rant about the fucking bullshit my workmans comp. is putting me through.

So had followup on June 9th for right wrist to check healing/therapy - all is going well so as stated before re-submitted authorization for left wrist.
No word by this Monday so I email my adjuster. It was approved based on medical necessity but the fucking claims adjuster claims that it was not part of the claim even though a full nerve study was done on both hands and from the beginning from my specialist stated both wrists would need to be done. So I call the manager for my doctor and she even repeats back that it was approved back in December for BOTH by the insurance company/adjuster. But obviously have to do one at a time.

So now claims adjust bitch decided to override the claim stating it was never part of the claim which somewhere something isn't right. Trying to get a lawyer involved because frankly trying to get any communication from the workmans comp office has been utter garbage. No urgency - receiving letters upon approval WEEKS after the stated procedures are already done or starting and then this email today basically stating " Oh yeah I denied it - your doctor has not sent the documents we wanted" - however the office claims they have and just..UGHHHHHHH. But I wonder if I had not emailed if she even would have bothered emailing me..or fucking forbid calling me.

I've already wasted months of fucking waiting , I have constant pain and numbness in my left hand and yeah it's fucking work related..Last I checked I can't data entry or type with one fucking hand and it didn't even begin until after the right hand was splinted..AT WORK. Needless to say it started with my right then a few months later the left got worse and was splinted with BOTH hands and the nerve study even proves both hands need it. FUCK.

ETA : Oh and I have proof from the beginning that even the non specialist physicians that saw me diagnosed as Right AND Left Carpal tunnel syndrome. How some adjuster can override the system IN PLACE to deny/approve it and was specifically agreed as medically necessary is fucking beyond me. How convenient when I requested all correspondence and an official denial letter not by email - she is suddenly out of the office until Friday. Fine..gives me plenty of time to acquire all my documentation against you. I've been through too much shit with this to back down. /rage

sounds like when i applied for state-administrated gov. assistance programs. went to schedule a phone appointment; they got three different dates, two different phone numbers, and then missed them all.

Reminds me of a coworker who has been on work-comp/long term disability for the past 3+ years. Took 3 or 4 different doctors about 2.5 years to agree to a set of diagnoses that all pretty much said "your arm is fucked," followed up by an array of surgeries that went from orthopedic to nerve damage or something. And it's still not fixed I think.

That coworker has still been on payroll despite not seeing her the entire time even after our company got acquired by some huge corporation. I had to laugh when they announced the 5-year-service award recipients and her name was on the list. SHE HASN'T WORKED A DAY IN LIKE 3 YEARS!

That fucking sucks. I'm grateful that at my job ( If I ever get to go fucking back..) they let us order whatever we need. Want a new keyboard ? Sure. Want sparkly gel pens ? Ok.
They actually replaced ALL keyboards with ergonomic ones once I filed my workman's comp. claim. They don't want anyone else calling it apparently LOL.
