Random Fail: First World Problems

Fucking dumbfuck workman's comp adjuster can't even use proper sentence structure. Why the fuck is the person in charge of denying me shit again ?

I emailed Wed. requesting all correspondence and citing sources of the current denial. Got out of office message less than an hour after getting denied via email..fuck.

Email first thing today at 7:45am PST - no response by 2pm PST Email AGAIN - Oh suddenly you can reply..but with this response..

"We’re get the records mail out to you Monday. There’s too many pages to be fax."

This does me ZERO good as I specifically stated I needed these documents BY Monday and fucking hell your Engrish hurts my fucking brain.
I hope this lawyer takes this and rips your ass apart.

I need a drink..Happy fucking Friday.

Not my fail (unless you count being up at 5:30 on a Sunday, which I don't, because I get up at this time normally), but there is nothing like awakening to the sound of SCREEEEEEE-THWUNK as someone (again) misjudges the severity of the curve outside my building. About six people from my building and the one across the lot came outside to check it out, but they'd already driven away. I guess it's nice that so many people came out, seemingly concerned for others?

I don't get it though. There's a dozen signs indicating that there's a HUGE FUCKING SHARP CURVE and the speed limit on the road is 25, and I'll be the first to admit that nobody follows the speed limit but damn son. Then again if you're drunk or texting or otherwise impaired then I guess that's the issue. That guide rail has probably saved a lot of lives.

Just not a pleasant wake up call.

Not a fail, mostly a complaint but

Holidays on any day other then Monday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

In this case 2 straight week with a holiday on a tuesday

Our company thought ahead and decided since Canada Day falls on next Tuesday, they'd just make it a 4 day weekend - rather than weekend, work Monday, off Tuesday.

Random win part: I heard rumblings of them wanting to do this, so I booked this upcoming week off, so I don't have to go back in til July 2nd.

You were right bro. 2 bent valves. FML. Loved that car, too bad I was too stupid to take care of it. Life lesson learned. 4500 to repair or 5200 to replace w used engine. It's 06 Accord Coupe, not sure it's worth either the repair or engine replacement.

Any suggestions on getting the most money out of it?

Can buy the engine yourself and replace it. My dad and I have repair manuals for every car we own. They are usually more than enough to tell us how to do anything we don't already know how to do.

Used one to replace the engine in my Outback. Engine was $2k, but we didn't have to pay for labor which saved a lot of money. I see engines on ebay for 500 to 1k, but didn't look at VINs for mileage/reports.

EDIT: Should have mentioned they were Haynes manuals.

So, went to my friends place last night. He lives in the business district of my city. Like, 3 blocks in every direction of his place is MILLIONS of fucking Cankerworms. Cars are covered with them, trees have thousands hanging down everywhere you walk. The walls of the buildings look are like a tiny green worm army is trying to take it down. Waalking from Car to Building and then Building to car must have taken me twenty minutes each way because I'm walking super slowly with my hands waving around infront of me so I don't get a face full of them.

the fail is, I had to park my car under that last night and while driving to the Hospital for an appointment, I rolled down my window. 6 or more fell out from the top of my window onto my arm and lap scaring the absolute fuck out. I let out probably the loudest and most girlish scream I ever have in my whole life.

Awww myrrh! I had to look up canker worms and in Florida we had the same thing except they were orange instead of green. We'd only get swarms of them every few years and I haven't seen anything like it in a while since moving around so much.

I recall liking them a lot and even holding them. Feeling bad that there were so many mushed on the ground, too.

Professor changed our grading scheme from 70 project, 15x2 exam to 60 project, 10 lab, 15x2 exam (he originally did 20x2 exam, 50 project, 10 lab, and I told him that he cant since the college outline specifically states grading scheme and it cant be altered). The problem is the 10% of the lab, it has to be done in class. The Lab requires two computers running windows server 2008. The PC I'm using now cant run windows 7, and two instances of server 2008 on VMWare, and removing windows 7 isnt an option since its the schools computer. We have computers in this room that we could install server 2008 and run one extra virtualized copy...but not allowed since "its reserved for the other class" (who isnt even using them right now according to their schedule). So my whole class is fucked out of 10%.

I go to bed around 7am (been doing this for over 10 years). Boss changed work schedule so I have to be in at 8am friday, which means I get to spend my day off today getting ready to go to bed ungodly early.

Suppose its some win too regarding the reason for the change, but I don't know all the details. Girl has some kind of breakdown, because life is hard when you're 20 and get dumped. I'd feel bad, but she is one of those people who spends all of her time trying to make herself look good by nitpicking what the rest of us do. So while my sleep schedule is going to get fucked, it should also be relaxing not having to deal with her for a month.

Two of my neighbors had their apartments broken into today. The asshole kicked in their back door and trashed the house but as far as my neighbors can tell he didn't actually steal anything. When I came home from work I actually saw the guy leaving one of the apartments from the back door area, but I didn't think anything of it because it was new people that had just moved in there the last week and I thought he lived there. I'm kicking myself now for not stopping to get his car's license plate number. Just your daily reminder that the world is still full of scumbags.

My mom is coming on Saturday and I am super excited about that. Spent the past week kinda spring cleaning like crazy (wanted to make closet space so we can start transitioning my daughter to a toddler bed). Things were going great all nice and orderly. And...a fucking sprinkler pipe broke and flooded half our living room. So we had to push everything to the back and it is one big mess. Landlord said they may have to keep the carpet up that way for the weekend to prevent mildew.

Ugh.

At least my mom is a super understanding person, and the bigger deal is getting to see her. It just sucks to have her come and have next week be "let's put the furniture back!"

Well, we are getting a new carpet in the living room, but now have to remove everything out of our living room. hahaha ;_;

Hubby getting out of work early to help me. We may have to stay at his parents for the weekend with my mom because between the table and the futon and the computer desks I don't think we will have a place to sleep!

At least it's good I made all that closet space, right? RIGHT?!
