Start classes for the semester tomorrow. Naturally, I am so far unable to sleep.

I didn't check my coffee right after getting it and got all the way back to my office before I realized it had milk in it.
Motherfuckers.
I woke up today with one of those solitary inflamed tastebuds.
Oh those are fucking annoying.
Dealing with potential serious medical female problems and have no idea of family history. Doctors keep blowing me off to basically wait until it gets so bad I am passing out or have anemia. The fuck.. Only time I fucking hate being female![]()
I have dealt with a lot of the same over the past year, and essentially had to force my way into X-Rays and MRIs that revealed I wasn't full of shit. I now have a laundry list of things to be cognizant of, but I'm fine with that. If I know what it is, I can work with it. As someone who doesn't seem to currently know everything they're facing, you have my sympathies.
hah!
you gotta be assertive with doctors, man. any time you use the words "I think" they hear that as "I'm just guessing" and ignore the rest of the sentence.
Bought an Xbox One with the Madden 15 bundle.
Set up my Xbox One. Entered Code. Accepted.
Games won't download.
Contact support.
Madden's download servers are overloaded (it's day 1), and they don't know when I can download my only game for my brand new Xbox One.
So now I'm playing Mass Effect 3 again on my 360.
You don't have to tell me twice. Without getting into details no one wants, this is a recurring issue I've addressed over and over. They tried to force me into one alternative that I outright refused. I know surgical procedures are my only options at this point but it's a matter of which route to go. On one hand the "all or nothing" has higher chance of solving the issues but is much more invasive while the other is less invasive but may not solve the current issue.
It all has risks vs rewards but I was hoping to put this off for several months as it hasn't affected my quality of life until now. I've made such huge strides recently with my health and losing weight it's just frustrating to feel so miserable from things I have zero control over. Not being able to do the things I want and need to fucking sucks. Getting an email back about my concerns would be nice too.. Ugh.
i sure as hell know that feeling! damn fucking right it sucks.
when i was diagnosed they wanted to operate immediately, but my parents and i insisted we try pharmaceutical options first. That bought me 8 years, but who knows how my quality would have been if I'd gone for surgery right away? Based on how I've been after I eventually did, I'd say probably not really that much better... but you never know. In any case, I exhausted every other reasonable option before opting for surgery... but eventually had to make the call to just do it. It was an awful experience, but the right decision. Sounds like maybe that's where you're at now; putting it off without an alternative option isn't a solution, it's an invitation for complications.
as for which to pick, how invasive we talkin'? if the more invasive is laproscopic, i'd say go for it. that's invasive but not terribly so. Two ~half inch incisions and one ~3 inch one to remove some intestines. The large one woulda been smaller but my guts were so inflamed they had to make it bigger just to get 'em out.
Basically full hysterectomy where they take it all out or a different method which leaves the ovaries in tact to help natural menopause ( when the time comes). Basically I have something called PCOS that causes horrible issues. Weight loss can sometimes improve symptoms however in my case , it has not made a difference thus far. I have tried medication that is supposed to help - hasn't worked in the last year. We don't want kids so fertility isn't a concern. I'm not stopping my journey of getting healthy but I can't wait another 1.5 years to lose the rest of the 120 lbs and "Wait it out". It's affecting my quality of life and having had to miss work at least 3 times a year is embarrassing to talk about to your male supervisor.
My hormones feel all out of fucking whack and though this might have other complications , I'm ready to not be tied down as it were.
embarrassment is easy, and a piss-poor reason to make medical decisions. just pretend you give zero fucks. eventually you'll realize you actually ran out of fucks. so both laproscopic? hmm. can you do one, then the other if it doesnt work? what time scale are you looking at as far as urgency/danger? if it's extremely urgent "i might die in a few months if this isnt resolved" then definitely go for the full 'ectomy. if you've got some wiggle room, i'd try the less invasive procedure first. maybe if it doesn't work on its own, it will help the medication/weight loss do its job. if it doesn't work at all, you can go back in for the full 'ectomy. surgery itself carries risk of course, so obviously you should talk about this with your doctor. if that's not an option, i think i'd go for the full 'ectomy. get it done and over with and worry about menopause when you get to it; who knows, maybe medical advances will make pharmaceutical options much better.
and tbh i'd try to put away some eggs just in case you change your mind. can't hurt, if you can afford it. plus who knows, maybe one day they can use 'em to clone an organ for you or something.
Work fail. We're getting new cubicles because our old ones are from the stone age (also because they want smaller cubes to squeeze more people in). Got an email last night that literally said "Done moving stuff for now. Everyone should have their belongings at their desks, packed." Came in slightly before 9 to stake my claim before everyone else, and they're still putting the cubes together and won't be done until lunchtime or later.
wat.
Now I'm remoting into a computer that's two rooms away from me, because it's currently stored in the server room which is freezing. Bonus fail: My remote session refuses to expand any larger than 1280x1024, so I feel like I'm looking into a square box. This is so dumb. Just had a co-worker show up and I told him to go back home.
One of my security cameras cut out in the warehouse today. Camera is too fucking high for me to get up to safely on the forklift to attempt to fix it -_-
