My first world problem relates to them though.

I have four more weeks to finish their costumes and I have no idea how I am going to be able to finish their costumes in time. ;_;

4 weeks sounds like a lot of time ya? But see, since I make everything from scratch and don't use patterns, I need to do it while the kid is awake so I can keep fitting them. But if one is awake that pretty much means both are awake and I have to tend to them rather than working on the costumes. So, it's basically been fitting them then doing w/e I can at night then waiting until the next day.

I think I am going to have to cheat a little with my boy's costume and buy some premade parts.

And that shouldn't bother me since he isn't even one yet, but it bothers me. Sewing is my thing so I hate knowing I need to do that.


Next year gonna start their fucking costumes in like March rofl.

[edit] to add to that, I am staying at the in laws a few days so I can sub, and was excited that maybe I could get some major sewing in. Brought my machine only to realize I left the cord a home (I keep it separate so the kids can't turn on the machine while I am not looking).

Many machines have a foot pedal in-line with the power cord. The pedal is just a potentiometer, but very necessary unless you want to turn it on full blast like a blender on the "crush" setting every time you plug it in.

Might be worth it to find a local sewing shop and buy/borrow one from them. The power cord I just bought for a garage-sale machine I picked up was $25.

Still stuck taking Norco every 4-6 hours for left carpal tunnel and back issues with benadryl due to the allergic reaction. By doing so everything gets fuzzy for 3-4 hours as in I can barely focus or read anything. It also makes me both want to run a marathon and sleep at the same time. I feel jittery from it too.
Running out of things on Hulu and Netflix I want to watch due to being off work for a year next month. Supposedly we should hear something soon on my case though.

We also looked into the possibility of getting a mortgage ( was more a shot in the dark/see where we stand) and we got good and bad news. Knowing what we do now makes it fairly feasible that we could own by next year. This however means cutting back on everything we can. Ugh being responsible sucks.

Myrrh - Seriously sorry to hear about all the shit this week man. Maybe you and your GF can take a weekend trip away somewhere - might be a good distraction and an even better excuse for makeup sex.

That sounds awesome , good luck with everything. My husband tricked me with my proposal - said he had to work late so I had to take the bus home. Almost got run over by two cars that night. Came in , saw him at the computer playing WoW. Slammed my purse down , logged in myself yelling at the computer to go faster. Didn't even notice him get on one knee to my right as I had my hand over my head staring at my laptop. He stumbled over his words but it was probably the most amazing few moments up to that point I've ever had. Then we logged in and raided together. Announced it in guild chat and got tell bombed by all the women for pics of the ring..LOL.

You keep writing out these massive responses to a very simple problem. I originally stated I didn't think I'd be able to combine shipping. You never responded to that message. And I'm sorry but I don't buy the computer error story. That is what caused this entire issue. I am not trying to cheat you on shipping. You understand that these are not small plastic models right? These are diecast metal, each weighing 2 - 3 pounds. The boxes are roughly a foot long and 7 inches high. I told you in the initial message that I would not be able to combine shipping on them. The one that you didn't reply to until today. And you may also want to check your sent box because up until this message you have not contacted me at all. Let alone to inquire about combined shipping. I will try to find a box big enough to hold both of these and let you know what the rate is before I send it out.

If I try to ship them out in one box together it's going to end up costing more than if I ship them in flat rate boxes separately. If that's alright I will get them in the mail once payment clears.
