Total first world:

Been wanting to go to the Drive-In for forever. That way we can take the kiddies with us and enjoy ourselves in the back of the car. I used to go in college and had a lot of fun.

Was at a friend's party on Sunday and she was saying how they still hadn't gotten to see Guardians of the Galaxy yet (because they also have a kid). I was like, "LET's GO DO THE DRIVE IN."

I wanted to go that night, but they wanted to go next saturday (this saturday).

Turns out, last night was the last showing of Guardians at the drive-in and now they are just playing crappy films. /sigh

In the UK they recommend not changing tyres on the motorway. I also wouldn't change a tyre on a normal street unless it was on the side with the pavement. I've only ever changed a tyre once - for my grandad on his driveway many years ago.

Our roads all have shoulders here. Nothing like Europe at all, I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to change a tire there lol.

It was in a parking lot, he was 70+, he couldn't bend his knees much, if at all. Which is why he dented the hell out of his rim. He just hit it as hard as he could in various places until the rust finally broke free. It was also 25ish degrees Fahrenheit. I have had perfectly capable people call me for a tire change because they did not want to get out of their car because it was cold. This guy had a legitimate reason.

I'm right handed, but play pool left-handed. I suspect it's a matter of me being left-eye dominant, but I can otherwise relate in that holding the stick in either hand can feel way different.

Never saw anywhere that said it was a limited release.

Added to fail, I think I figured out why they pulled it. The first DVD/BlueRay set comes out in november. Which is fine, I was like, ok I'll get them.

No, fu Viz. The fist box set is only 23 episodes and costs $40 for the DVD version and $70 for the Blu-Ray.

That series is 200 episodes long. I ain't 19 anymore, I can't be laying down that kind of money for animu. God damn.

When I was a kid we had a VCR that, when used to record TV, would automatically detect and fast-forward through commercials on playback.

Why has this technology apparently been lost to time?
