Yea, this place is starting to give our previous apartment complex a run for it's money in shadyness. When I asked about the huge increase, was given the bs response of well all other complexes are charging it now, it was something we paid, wasn't part of your rent, even though our lease specifically said water and garbage was part of our rent........ Here bitch, let me raise your mortgage up 400 a month and see how you like it.... Sad thing is, it's still one of the cheaper rents in the bay area assuming they don't negotiate at all, at 1780 a month + water and garbage....

We are doing everything we can to not rent next year. It's been just one thing after another between still fighting my workman's comp carpal tunnel , to other medical issues unexplained on my end , etc.
Since I can't drive right now even if I wanted to until this carpal tunnel is completely clear , that could limit our options where we need to live. Then dealing with the possibility of having to get another car and insurance..bleh.. As public transit only goes so far in the bay area and anything less than a 400k home is a 45 minute -hour commute each way and only available by car. It's one of those lesser of two evils thing. Still fucking blows either way.

First thing I told myself when I was getting near the end of my first semester in college was that I would never rent a place from someone other than a relative. At the time I honestly did not understand all the ancillary costs of owning a home, Taxes/Fuel/Electric/Maintenance/Garbage/etc. All I was focusing on was how shitty an idea of renting an appreciating asset was.

That led to an interesting first couple months in the new house. That being said I'm going on year 5 of Home ownership w/ my wife and I only just turned 30 this year (she is 28). I would say realistically we purchased a year or two too soon. I can afford almost twice the house I bought at this point, and that does kind of suck lol.

There's quite a bit home ownership teaches you, whether you are willing or not. If you can financially swing it without making yourself "house poor", 100% go for it if that's what you want to do.

I literally had no knowledge of how to fix/install/replace/etc ANYTHING outside of the automotive world. I could pretty much build you a house from the ground up now, aside from pouring the cement and digging the septic system. The negative from that, is I learned by a lot of expensive shit in my house breaking.

For instance: I could either pay $1000 to have an oil tank replaced, or pay $300 for the tank at Home Depot and install it myself. $10,000 for the roof, or $4,000 for the materials and a few buddies to help. $400 for the hot water heater, or $1000 through a plumber.

Yea, the big thing is I want to pare down debt first. We have a little in savings, but not nearly enough for a down payment. Talked to a mortgage consultant with our bank, and even with a FHA loan, we will need about 25k roughly just to cover a 3-5% down in our area. A lot of that is my fault as I was never the best with money for a long time, but things are moving up in that direction.

Getting really tired of this consistent pain. After several doctor visits including with a neurologist , MRI and even a CT scan of my head they still can't tell me why I am having back pain and issues with my left leg.
All they say is everything is normal. Well..then wtf do we need to do then ? I know i'm fat and that can have an impact on things but it seems odd that I was much heavier and had none of these issues. I realize things can shift here and there but not to the point that going up and down stairs causes me to need a Norco. Then the unexplained numbness in my leg when sleeping and sometimes when sitting is concerning still yet no one thinks it's a big deal.

I want to go back to working out regularly and being active - every time I try right now my back calls red. FUCK.

could it be referred pain? sometimes when i'm feeling really REALLY bad, my back starts to hurt. there's nothing wrong with my back that would do that, it just hurts because my guts hurt. also, things like hunger/need to pee/need to poo all felt like pain instead. i'd just run down a checklist until the pain stopped. pain is fucking weird like that.

as for the numbness, have you tried a chiropractor? sometimes stuff just gets out of alignment and that's exactly the sort of effect it can have.

It's possible. I'm having a spiral CT of my abdomen with contrast dye done Saturday just to make sure nothing is wrong in that area. The chiropractor suggestion is one I'm considering however I've had horrible issues with any type of pressure on me that causes worse pain so it scares me.

My posture isn't the best, I have to bend over 2-3 times a day to do dishes, use the computer with no chair just a couch but even walking or lying down hurts. I wish I knew WHY.

Bleh 2 hours till I have to eat my own cooking. I remember why I can never keep to a diet. My food tastes like shit no matter what I do to it lol. The only thing I can make worth a fuck is instant grits.

Suppose I have a bit of a health thing going, myself. Basically pulled a hammy a few months back, and while I did my best to rest it up and such, it really just doesn't seem to want to go away with a general tightness/numbness along the back of my thigh and then the occasional bouts of pain throughout my leg as a result of overcompensating and all that jazz. Last night was one of those bad nights overall where I had to take something just to dull the edge. Right now, the secondary pain seems to be favoring the hip/groin region, though more toward the hip. Probably the more annoying part of this that I tend to sleep on the side I hurt, which I doubt is helping long term recovery.

None of the belly areas seem sensitive to pressure but I periodically have stomach issues especially lately with rich food like red meat and red wine..the test is to rule out anything pushing on my pelvic area..

The pain in my back isn't as low as the tailbone but is in the lower portion for sure. Seems to be in the center of the lower back. If I twist at my waist I can feel the pull in my back where it aches as well. Same when I walk upstairs.
I'm horrible at describing things but appreciate the feedback regardless.

definitely talk to a chiropractor. explain everything and make sure to mention the sensitivity. is it just an ache, or is there a sharper pain involved as well? if it's a firey jolting pain when you move the wrong way, it could be a pinched nerve which is something chiropractors can fix.

It's nothing like sharp pain just strong ache constantly as it feels like someone is stepping on my back with all their weight. When I go to sit up from sitting down any extended time I feel like I need to force my back to straighten. I honestly think it could be a posture/support issue , but regardless does not bring me any closer to answers about my leg and numbness too. My doctors want to think it's related but have not accepted it may not be. Maybe i'll just force myself to workout again through the pain bleh..
