What does it say about me that I actually enjoyed Ohio for the most part when I lived there? Granted most of it was in the Chagrin Falls area which is really nice. I did spend a couple of months in Youngstown and will confirm that it is a shithole.
People in/near the 3 C's might have better things to say, I wouldn't doubt, but otherwise there's a whole lot of nothing. In Portsmouth's case, the only thing there is SSU, which at best, tries to be the annoying little brother of WVU when it comes to the behavior of students. I don't really look back to the 6 months I spent there fondly even if I've otherwise been in eastern Ohio pretty much my whole life. I tend to joke this area is about 10 years behind the rest of the modern world, and in some cases, it never catches up.
I'm in Columbus, it's a great town. Cincinnati isn't bad, Cleveland sucks if you have to be there for more than 5 hours at a time. It just sucks that there's nowhere else decent to go in the state unless you're camping (and are fond of our two seasons: freezing snow and mosquito humidity). All the smaller cities is more or less trash, and I got burnt out 45 - 90 minute ride lines at the theme parks by the time I was 12.
I am at that weird fat man stage where XL shirts are too small, and XXL shirts are like wearing a parachute. Sigh.
The fact that it's called Chagrin Falls is pretty amusing.
Reading a NORMAL (i.e. Cromartie High School; none ettchi, no monsters, no tentacles, no girls even) Manga at work during my lunch break.
Someone sees it, and asks if it's hentai. I say no it's manga, and showed him a page of it of just the main chars having a conversation. He goes "oh ok" and walks off.
When he sees me he randomly asks how's my hentai. Other people ask what it is once they hear the word, and he explains in a way it's "safe for work".
Now people think I read hentailol -- i have to re-explain and go no, it's just (japanese) comics, basically.
I need some help on what to carve this year on a Pumpkin.
2 years ago I did Rainbow Dash awesomely
last year I did Fennekin epicly
I have no idea what I want to do this year and that's why it's a fail. I had my shit picked out a month in advance the last two years

So last week I decided to file for my vacation 2 weeks from now. Yesterday, one of the higher ups comes to our branch comes by and tells me to stop working and I'm laid off because "They couldn't afford me". There's only 3(well.. now 2) people on my branch and now those 2 have been blowing up my cell about they we're NOT expecting this....
Welp.
I know that feel bro. Just went to the temp office to pick up my stuff. Worked there for almost a year and a half then suddenly ... don't. Getting my things back really finalized it for me. And the worst part is that they didn't even give me a reason, just that "We don't need you anymore" line that they give to temporary employees. Well ... okay ...

This really shouldn't piss me off, but I am still so pissed about this.
So here is my post in the random win thread:
.
I was supppppppppppper excited about getting those dolls. I told MiL all about them, the whole story, that we were at Costco n' they were plastic dolls and everything.
Kids are with the in-laws tonight. We call around 8 pm to see how they were doing. "Oh fine! We went to Costco and Mack saw these dolls she really wanted, so we got them for her."
Yep.
The same damn dolls. I shouldn't care, I can return them. It's just the fucking idea that it is clear she didn't listen to me tell this story at all. Costco isn't a toy factory, there are only ONE SET of 8 disney princess dolls there. It just. Ugh took forever to convince my daughter we didn't get them and hide it and everything and I was really looking forward to giving them to her because of how much she watches that video with them.
If I hadn't told the story it just would have been a sucky situation, but she knew, she knew! and she kept saying "oh I thought you meant a different set." fucking give me a break.
Special moment taken.![]()
It's always a gutter when someone spoils a surprise. Last year near Christmas my brother mentioned that his laptop had died. So I got him a Kindle FireHD as a present since I thought he didn't really use his laptop for more than surfing and watching vids. Like 2 weeks later he tells me he's bought a second hand laptop off ebay. I gave him his Kindle anyway but earlier this year he gave me it back saying he didn't hardly use it.
Ksandra, That seriously sucks. I really hate when I'm not heard or listened to so I understand.
Speaking of which it boggles my mind how little doctors know about PCOS and how I have to educate them. It's just frustrating that a disease that so many people have of all shapes and sizes and ages goes under the radar that can have massive repercussions in some cases. Dealing with this since I was 15 I wish people would just listen instead of assuming it's an excuse.
