Yep.
They really are fucking crazy. Sometimes when my gf picks a fight with me for no apparent reason (i refuse to sleep over in her twin bed with no internet, and her part of the city doesnt allow overnight parking in the street), i tell myself "i wish i were gay so i wouldnt have to put up with this shit".
Honestly? If you don't want crazy, buy a fleshlight and learn to love sleeping alone.
Just out of boredom, looked up what it'd cost me to visit a friend in Milwaukee starting from Pittsburgh. Got $211 for a round-trip flight and $88 for round-trip train with both set to start at 11/01/12. Last time I visited, train was way cheaper then, too. Suppose the ultimate difference is if you'd rather work an extra day to get there faster instead of sitting on a train for 20 hours round trip.
Depends on where you going to/from. Sometimes you can save a lot, but often the price is pretty similar, and sometimes cost more to take a train.
Quick example, to get to boston from where i am, amtrak costs $100, plus another $10 to get to an amtrak station. A flight would cost around $110 (still another $10 to get to the airport via train). I'd save $10 each way by taking a train instead of a plane, and it'd take 5x longer.
I'm in a bad mood after being stuck at the car dealership for 5 hours waiting on a recall repair.
Assuming I wasn't lied too they had 1 mechanic down from 3 today, and the recall was part of the transmission, that knowledge takes a bite of the bite out. Still:
But having to drive an hour 1 way because the dealership in my town closed a month ago had me in a bad mood; I also hadn't eaten before going in because of the time I had been given. 1 hour. 3 hours later I was pissed, hungry and stuck in the middle of a no where with no where to get food. This was the middle of the country, in no where. The TV only had broadcast networks so after the morning news went off I was stuck watching soap operas next to the kids area. There was no coffee, and I had to listen to the receptionist page Jesus 2 times before calling for Jésus. That last one? Awesome. But not worth an entire day of my time.
The real shitty part? My AC's been broken for a year now, I haven't been able to afford to get it fixed. Asked if they could confirm it was the compressor, got greeted with "Well sure, but its 100$ if we look but don't fix it".
Honda recall by chance? Had to get my wife's car fixed and their customer service waiting area was the exact same way. No food, no coffee, no nothing, and in the kids area where there was a ton of the little buggers being chased around by a young fine as hell chick with a short skirt who looked like she was about to cry after being told instead of selling cars, she would have to be in the kids section. Across the way, there was a small kitchenette they were luring potential buyers in to give them refreshments while they get scammed. I went over to grab a cup of coffee and to grab one of the doughnuts sitting on the counter and one guy said "Excuse me but that's for customers". I said "Well I'm a customer; I'm getting my car serviced as part of a recall." Guy says: "I'm sorry, sir. I meant paying customers only." Had to laugh at that one. Gave their customer review spreadsheet all 0's and wrote in all capital letters about not being allowed to grab a doughnut and coffee that's probably been sitting out for a few days.Originally Posted by Apelila
Hate to derail but could i get a link for the Honda recall, i just bought one in Feb, and haven't seen anything on which models are being recalled.
Thank you
I would be careful doing google-fu for searching for it as there's a lot of dummy sites out there that'll get you caught up. I would look on the NHTSA website and do a search there.
http://www.nhtsa.gov/
Or you can go to your local dealer's webpage and search there for recalls.
Ok so back story, I was over at a girl who I'm trying to get with, I bring over a 5th of Smirnoff, we drink a bit, smoke a shit ton, but don't really touch the vodka and I end up taking it home with me the next morning. When I arrive at my dorm I let everyone know(my roommate was in fact present for this) "Hey so this 5th is for everyone, but if you're going to drink it let me know please so I can get drunk with you since I bought it"
Last night:
I am with my roommate, and one of my other friends who wanted to smoke me out, so we smoke and all is jolly. Fast forward a couple of hours, I wake up around like 12:30-1 and go downstairs to get something to drink, and surprisingly my roommate took my 5th out of the freezer and had it on the table while he and my other friend were watching TV, It was practically empty, and I was fucking pissed. My roommate however could not understand why I was so upset.
Pic related, thats how much they left me(it was basically full minus a shot or 2 from the previous use)
Drunks gonna drink. Your fault for expecting anything better.
Meh, at least it wasn't good booze.
My online homework had a quick TRUE/FALSE quiz in French. I got 100% of them wrong because the test put False as the first option and True as the second. I instinctively assume True to be the first option and False to be the second. 11 PM and didn't realize mistake before I turned it in and got them all wrong. I should have been paying attention more, but c'mon.
Talk to the instructor? Easy, simple mistake to make, and if you didn't know what you were talking about, statistically you should have gotten SOME right.
