Random Fail: First World Problems

Got up this morning and my Dad asked me if I could look at their computer because its been running slow lately. Manage to finally get firefox open, and see multiple toolbars installed. Takes a couple of tries to get to the malware bytes website due to redirects. Already flagged 180 potential errors, and its only been running for 15 minutes.

I've told them time again to a) read anything before downloaded/installing to see if it wants to put extras on your computer and b) if any page asks you to download something to access it (short of upgraded adobe flash player), find another website.

Of course today I get a call from one of the directors. She's telecommuting and a new folder called unwanted showed up in her outlook and all emails seem to be getting redirected to that folder. Our county exchange expert has already blown out her outlook profile on her computer, removed the used cache exchange option and still doing it. Now he's in the process of exporting everything, so we can delete her from the exchange server completely, create her fresh and import her emails back in..... Vegas can't come soon enough.

9th hour of this migraine.

It's located over my right eye. Possibly the worst migrane of my life. It hit me suddenly yesterday idk why. Maybe I've inherited my mother's monthly visitor warning.
Her migraines lasted a day and a half.

First time in my life I sympathize with that woman.

Also sitting in the dark hearing nothing is boring shit for 8 hours. Phone screen hurting now so away from this I go.

My fail today:
I decided, at 9:00pm, to go for a drive up Mt. Hood just because I can. Near the Brightwood weigh station, there was a car stuck in the snow berm on a side street created by the snow plows. I decided to stop and help push them off the berm. The old guy trying to push the car out was partially paralyzed and could barely stand on his own, let alone try to push a stuck car. I pushed the car over the berm then had to carry the guy (arm slung over my shoulder with me taking most of his weight) back to the car because he could not move after standing there trying to push for 30 minutes before I showed up. I filled my shoes with snow and spent the rest of the trip with freezing feet, then realized on the drive home that my back was hurting. I am now sitting here with a sore back, unable to lift my arms above my head. Apparently, I can't carry a 300 lb. man without injuring myself. At least the poor guy and his wife are home safe now instead of sitting on the road in below freezing temps.

It was awesome that the timing was right for me to help. It is what I do. I help people in need, and I do it every chance I get. That is my paycheck. I am glad I was there and I would do it again. I just have to complain about my back hurting on a message board because I would never think of telling someone I helped that they caused me injury.

might wanna get it checked out. back injuries aint nothin to fuck with. good on you, though. last year i put my car in a snowbank cos i thought i was gonna slide into the guy in front of me; was on an exit ramp so a LOT of cars went by before a pair of them stopped to help. never got their names but one was in a company car so if i ever need the services they provide im buyin from them.

Be happy. I lose my peripheral vision when I get mine. Sometimes I get strobe lights going off as well. Not fun dealing with that when you're 300+ miles away from home on some back road in Ohio. Excedrin migraine is the only thing that actually works for mine. Prescription stuff does absolutely nothing for me.

Chartered a fishing boat with the future father in law, since we got passes for Christmas last year. Weather was gorgeous, the waves were not. Swells 6-8 ft tall, coming from all directions. On the way to the fishing spot I was fine, but as soon as we stop I tell him I'll be right back; I never came back. Spent 3 hours on the other side of the boat having a second lunch, and trust me when I say it wasn't as good the first time I had it. Waited 11 months to use these passes, and this is all I got out of it. FML.

Not as bad as the other family there though. The dad pays for the 6 of them, and all of them except for the father join me on the other side of the boat not too long after I claimed my spot on the rail. By the end of it all, out of about 20 people only 5 weren't actively vomiting or sitting inside trying to keep from joining my port side tribe lol.

Had a cabin rented in the mountains in the Shenandoah Valley this past weekend for my girlfriends birthday. Saturday night we go to use the hottub, it was stuck at 91 degrees. The thermostat on it was set for 102. Tub would not heat up at all the rest if the time. Call the guy today about it just so he knows, and he tells me that I wasn't to touch the settings and that's why it went to 91 because I had. Explained to him we hadn't touched anything on it because the contract said not to adjust the hot tub settings so we didn't.

He said 91 still should of been hot enough and I told him we got in for two minutes and it felt like a lukewarm bath. I explained I wasn't trying to get a discount just wanted to inform and also make sure it didn't affect getting my deposit back.
