Flight home from vegas, literally the seats right in front of us, screaming baby for the vast majority of a 75 minute flight. If this was cross country, I would have asked if they could sedate me or put a bullet in my head. Worst flight ever.

Not entirely sure, but I guess it's because failure to pay usually constitutes a direct violation of eBay's rules, thus making it necessary to file a case that eBay can look into themselves, nevermind the fact that merely delaying payment is annoying and would also constitute a negative rating. Not to mention, of course, that it takes some time to file a case, which many sellers do not want to invest. And then, you wind up with a guy who has five good ratings and looks perfectly fine to eBay, even though all ratings explicitly state that the guy refuses to pay.
Edit:
Yeah, kids are the worst, whether it's a plane or the bus. Though I wonder if the two of you might have been stuck in a spiral where the crying made you raise the volume and the music made the kid cry.
Nah she was crying before we even got on the plane. I'm usually a patient person but yeah that sucked hard.
If it's any consolation, the parents were probably just as miserable as you for the duration of the flight.
What Clash said, besides, babies have no idea how to handle their ears popping, which, if you're not prepared for it, can hurt quite a lot. I brought my son on a flight when he was about two months old and he didn't cry for very long, but I felt terrible about it because there was nothing I could do to make him feel better and because of the other people on the plane. It's a shitty situation for all around.
We just aren't kids people so that adds to it on top of having to wait all say for a later flight, it was just everything piled on top. What Akys pointed out is what happened I'm sure and in this case the parents at least tried to calm her down it was just non stop. It's a risk we take traveling it was just compounded that it was directly in front of us. Next time I'm buying earplugs lol.
i would think something like a pacifier or feeding would help..?
anyway sucks. if i ever fly somewhere i'm bringing my computer and around-the-ear headphones just in case.
When my brother was that age, he came down with an ear infection a day or so before the flight. Can't remember if it was landing or takeoff, but his eardrum ruptured. Poor baby could do nothing but wail.
They did away with it a few years ago. Bad sellers who sent broken, damaged, condition less than described items would basically extort a buyer. If the buyer gives bad feedback the seller retaliates. I understand why they did it but with the amount of fucktard bidders on eBay it has severely hamstrung sellers like me. My only avenue is to give them positive feedback that says they didn't pay etc and report them to eBay. After enough negative reports the buyer will eventually get removed. eBay also looks at the buyer. I have over 750 feedback, most of it selling, so if I report a buyer it will carry more weight than someone with 10 feedback reporting them. eBay is nothing if not about their bottom line.
At the movies, spill my soda. Go get a new one and slip on the stairs, nearly spilling it again. Go me.
Lent my mother money for a trip to Berlin because no one else would, she was so grateful she was crying, promised to pay it all back by the end of the month, which is why I lent it to her in the first place, as I wouldn't need it until then.
A week passes and she reveals that she obviously cannot pay it back at once.
Not that it's an exorbitant sum, but I suddenly remember why I stopped lending people money, family or not.
Best part is, if I were to complain, she'd toss me the same old bullshit. "It's just money", "You're just like your greedy grandparents (dead father's side)". Funnily enough, the only people in this family tossing out phrases like that are the ones not paying the bills (who, coincidentally, do not work and live out of my father's pocket). Then again, those are the ones that emotionally blackmailed me into granting them access to my entire inheritance before I even realized just how much that money could help me in the future (though I still got ~€40 - out of ~€15,000 once everything was over).
Emotional blackmail might be overstating it a bit, but what exactly is a ten-year old going to say when he's asked whether his parents can take money of his savings account? My parents always had my inheritance to fall back on if my mother pulled all bank accounts into the red by going on another shopping spree because she's oh so unhappy with this marriage - at least until my father confiscated her bank card.
Which reminds me, I used to be hellbent on making my mother happy, so I always gave her the money I got from my grandparents and my aunts, which she accepted.
Sometimes, I just can't help but hate my mother, though I'd still punch my younger self senseless as well.
The only good thing I got out of that is that, despite growing up among people with little to no sense for money, I manage to get by with whatever money I have - simply because I did not have an inheritance I could fall back on whenever something went wrong. That's also what I tell my aunt and my grandma who really hate my mother.
A lesson I learned long ago; go ahead and consider any loans to family a gift; and if you're lucky you'll get some of it back later... saved me a lot of heartache.
10 minutes into my shift last night and I get a traumatic mvc. Drunk driver in a pick up plows into an SUV and no one made it :/ Be safe out there during the holidays guys and don't fucking drink and drive.
Ya I work very close to a mall. I saw going out for lunch 3 people almost get hit by cars because "let's cross in the middle of the road" one had a little girl that could not be older then 10. Yelled out the window at the guy to leave the kid out of it and just get himself killed.
Of course I get looked at like I'm nuts.
Also they have crosswalks all of the god damn place ffs.
I reached the end of Orange is the New Black episodes when I was prepared to stay up and binge watch well into the night, fucking cliffhanger so I decide to look it up and see it's not releasing until summer 2015?!?!?! Fuck me.
