First world dilemma: I preordered GotG for pickup in a week. I'd like to give it to my wife for christmas, but I REALLY want to watch it again. WHAT TO DO BG?!
Internet
So I'm at my resort in the Bahamas and I am stuck in line trying to check in like some homeless asshole.
Were was that idea 10 minutes ago?!
TSA took my peanut butter because it is considered a "gel-like substance"
smh
So, because our flight to Freeport got delayed an hour, we lost our king bed reservation room. Got switched between rooms THREE time because they don't even kon what beds are what. Then I found out my travel agent double booked me and if I can't get them to admit fault, I get hit with a no show penalty
So, after my last auction ended with the buyer not paying, I finally managed, with some delays, to sell the item again. Who won? Someone from Ruanda with no prior feedback. I wonder if he'll really pay.
Good luck. I'm still sour on being dicked around by someone over a used 360, a month passed, and I couldn't get a refund from ebay anymore despite obvious repeat communication between me and the seller to try and "resolve" the issue amicably. Wound up selling the brick for like $50, but still lost like $100 overall.
Never use ebay for anything you would care about losing. Most of the time everything is fine, but if someone wants to scam you, they will get away with it every time.
You can change settings to US people only and remove bidders... I've never had a problem and have sold some expensive items.
Lepetit isn't in the US. UK I think.
I have had that setting up and running since day one. Additionally I notate all my auctions that if you have less than 20 feedback don't bother bidding because I will cancel your bid. I also have it set up that if someone has more than two unpaid item strikes they can't bid.
I'm selling from Germany (though that doesn't change things too much), but I've never had problems selling things to people outside of the country, though the interest in my auctions outside of Germany wasn't exactly great to begin with. Problem is also that the bidder who won did not place any bids until the auction was almost over, otherwise I might have had time to react. As it is, I'll give him some time, it's not like they have to be bad eBay-users, it's just the fact that he's completely new and from Ruanda that is causing some concern. I don't mind giving new members a chance, but somehow, I've got a bad feeling considering he hasn't paid yet or given me any indication that it might take him a day or two.
As far as I'm concerned, this iPhone is cursed. I only accepted it because it was a present, as I loathe Apple, and waited two years for the contract to finally expire. Now I can't get rid of the damn thing!
This is frustrating because it seems like more and more people do this lately. I used eBay a little bit back in like 2004 before people became so strict with their terms and conditions and I think I have something in the ballpark of 50 feedback, but people still don't trust me and either don't bid on my auctions or are wary of me as a buyer. And the last few transactions I've done I've found it was like fucking pulling teeth to get feedback. It's like people want to keep being elitist with fucking eBay star colors or some shit.
Also, I was really annoyed at eBay themselves for making me wait for over a month to withdraw the money and send it to my bank account, because they said I was "too new" to eBay. After being a member for ten years!?!? I sold some shit there because I was in need of the money, I didn't need it tied up in PayPal for 6 fucking weeks. That pissed me the fuck off.
What a way to start the day, driving to work at 5am on a side road, when I got broadsided by a deer while i was going 60 mph (speed limit was 55). It hit the back half of my back driver side door/ front of my bed of my pickup truck, if I was any slower would have been my front door. Had a person right behind me so it could have been a lot worse if I slammed on my breaks.
