All the work computers are Macs, all my home computers are PCs. My brain doesn't know what to do anymore when it comes to scrolling.
Been wrapping gifts since 5pm and still not fucking done. Every year we say we aren't doing much thus year and it never happens. Now I know why my husband paid someone at the mall to do mine. No interruptions and no kitties to keep out of shit..
These posts make me really glad I have no local family so I hardly have to do any wrapping.
Amazon does all my shopping and wrapping. It's the future.
I do all my parents shopping and no wrapping. They like giving me Lego, I like getting Lego. They give me a limit, I place the order, it gets shipped and then I act surprised when I open it.
Shopping for them is hard, though. They have so much stuff already and they're trying to get rid of it, so I need to find things that are useful that they don't already have. No knick knacks. I often just end up getting them candy. I try to pick stuff they don't usually have so it's more than just some random crap off the shelf at the checkout. I have an idea, though. If I can get a bucket of plain parts on sale, I can make them cards out of Lego. I could do it w/o the bucket, but it would take too long to find all the pieces and I only thought of this like last night so yeah.
My grandfather is the same way, impossible to shop for. My mom and I finally realized that the easiest way to shop for him is to get him gift certificates to restaurants, because he loves to go out to eat. He always appreciated them and it didn't feel like we were cluttering up his house.
Landed an amazing high-paying internship; but they require men to be clean-shaven. All I had was a well-groomed stubble. Now I'm a 31 year old walking around looking like I'm 19.
It's easy for me to shop. I have one old school friend who likes hand written cards, so I do that. Other than that, I don't get anyone anything and I don't get anything from anyone; so it works out
Drunk shopping strikes again...
Apparently, back in Sept, I ordered some late night nonsense from Amazon with my credit card. This was after I had planned not to use the card for the rest of the year till now for holiday shopping. I go to pay off my card this month because of said shopping and realize I have a bunch of progressively larger late fees accumulated because of some shopping I did on Amazon on one late September night. I must have been drunk, or high, or both, but fuck this must have been destroying my credit score. Super annoyed. I called and the woman on the other side was super friendly and understanding and reversed all the charges. Still though...fml
And the worst part is I don't even know exactly what it was that I ordered...
hot. record consummation plz
Lost my keys today. House key I can get a copy of tomorrow. Bike key I'm going to have to order a new pair from the manufacturer, so it's going to be like a week or two before it gets here (not to mention I'll have to pay for it). In the meantime, I'll have to buy a shitty lock to hold me over (then go through the trouble of going back to return it for a refund when my keys come in).
Also my keychain ring was pretty bad ass, so I'm salty as fuck about losing it. R.I.P. Akiyama Mio
