Like 80% of the people we've had come through that are <25 can't hardly do anything. Can't get work done on time, can't show up on time, etc. One was complaining because he didn't know how to balance his checkbook. Y'all are generalizing too much. Blame your industry/company for hiring shitheads. My industry is dominated by early 20s, fresh out of college kids, almost all of which are pleasant and professional.

I don't know about the real world, but I work with 22-30 year olds in graduate school. Like any other group of people, they're a mix of incompetent shits and people that are genuinely intelligent.

Because I'm in graduate school, I also get to interact with professors (the previous generations). They're a mix of incompetent shits and people that are genuinely intelligent. I don't think incompetence and PMS-y butthurtedness is an invention of the millenials, but I do wish it was.

I think most of our problem was HR lagging behind what the department actually wanted. They kept giving us people with degrees from ITT. We finally managed to get the point across that people from ITT are (generally) not prepared to do the work we do and have had much better success lately.

I also posted this in the hockey thread, but I just found out that my dad and his wife are not coming down next week.

I bought hockey tickets for the three of us since the Pens will be in town. I'm fucking pissed off, but I'm still gonna go. I just need to find people to go with because I figure that will be easier than trying to scalp the fucking things.

Old white lady refused to give me all packages for my apartment even though it was clearly labeled it's going to the same place. Sucked her teeth at me requested name etc, we've lived here 2 years it's never been an issue with picking up everyone's mail all names are listed on the mail box. I've deployed crazy pms white girl roommate to cut that bitch!

Been standing a lot of watch lately since my section is low-manned right now. Doesn't help that a lot of people went on leave today. Get back to my barracks after just standing a watch just to get told because I did first watch, they didn't have the numbers to fill the bill and I have to do last watch too. This is what I signed up for so I didn't really get angry but at the same time it's like "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck"

If you were actually in Pittsburgh I'd consider making the drive just for the hell of it, but Florida's too far.

Dude I keep saying I'm going to get back up to Pittsburgh one of these days, try to get Brill and Sep and anyone else who wants to go to meet at a hockey game and have a goddamn good time bickering like fucking tools anyway since that's what we actually do in the hackey thread, but I just haven't had the money. I was also trying to guilt my dad into flying me up north since he isn't coming down but it hasn't worked.

Someday I would love to have a BG meetup at a Pens game though lol.
