And now though it patched it appears that Mario 3d world won't work. So much for my awesome surprise gift

A good friend from Junio high school is watch her kitty die before her eyes today. First thing I saw on FB and can't stop fucking crying now. Her kitty has had a long life but it never makes it easier. She also has had her truck break down twice this month and downsizing issues at work.. I just feel incredibly sad right now. I'm holding my three kitties tighter than ever but I feel sad I can't do anything to ease her pain

Have to exchange my wii u today. 4 attempts to finally update and Mario 3d world hard freezes with music on a continuous loop at the splash screen. At least I got my hdmi splitter set up and that works great

good lord. that's just brutal. i'm surprised the truckers weren't communicating with each other, but i suppose there are lots of channels. in conditions like that i probably would have followed one of those trucks right into the pileup. on the interstates in bad weather i like to tuck in behind them (not so close they cant see me obv) and just stay there until i need to exit, on the theory that they're communicating with and getting information i may not be aware of, and that they're just generally better drivers.

Being behind a semi is probably the last thing I'd want to do in bad weather, largely due to rain/snow they kick up and their trailers further blocking FoV. Of course, having them behind you isn't much better if you suddenly need to stop, especially on a downward slope.

Without knowing how that crash started, though, it's unfortunate so many got caught up on it. I may joke about people around here forgetting how to drive the moment a flake of snow hits the ground, but there certainly comes a point where accidents aren't the driver's fault. In weather like that, I'd probably be going both a fair amount under the speed limit and maintaining at least a 30 yard distance. Overly cautious, perhaps, but I'd rather not be in a ditch and paying a towing/repair bill with a likely insurance spike to follow. Or worse, an ER visit.
