Christ that sounds familiar.
Damn lol
She cheated on him and then he put a ring on it? Slummin'
To each their own, I guess.
Wife has a standing full length mirror at the end of the hallway. I've said since before Noah was crawling we need to move it or put it away because it's only a matter of time before he pulls it over. Today was that day. Thing tipped over, cracked him right on the head, and was then pinning him for a few seconds before I got him out from under it. Top of the mirror is fucking shattered and spider webbed. Amazingly enough not a single scratch on the boy. Thank fucking Christ. After he stopped crying I just fucking stared at my wife.
She had to feel like shit, ugh. Fails all around, sorry man. That blows.
You have no idea how many times scenarios just like that will happen. It only gets more and more frequent when kids will get into trouble or hurt themselves no matter how much you prepare. I know the feeling though and it sucks you feel like the worst parent in the world when something like that happens.
Was a kid, can confirm, will climb.
You'll need to childproof (lol) latch kitchen drawers at ground level too, will open anything to gain a hold.
God, reminds me of the day where I thought I shattered my hand playing baseball. Sitting at the Er, every time they tried to bring me back for x-rays, a more urgent case came in, including a kid who had a dresser fall on them. Kids will try to maim themselves in the most ridiculous ways possible.
i tore open my nose when i was like 4-5. i was trying to put on my pants by dropping off the bed and into the legs. my thinking was that if i held them level, my legs would just drop right in and it would look cool (to the empty room). it did not go as planned. i tripped and fell forward, my nostril caught on the dresser handle. my plastic surgeon turned out to be my best friend (at the time)'s dad, so that made it much, much less traumatic. i was more embarrassed than anything else. i still have a faint scar.
FWP/fail of the day: im bleeding inside and it hurts, im cold but too stubborn to turn up the heat, im tired but too stubborn to go to bed, im angry but dont have anything to be angry at.
Yikes, good thing the kid is not hurt.
So, a while ago someone from Ruanda bought an iPhone I was selling on eBay. I was worried, but he did pay. However, due to costs, he wanted a non-tracking shipping option. I recommended Deutsche Post since it would be cheaper and might (apparently, it's still in work in Ruanda) have tracking, but he pretty much says he would be more comfortable with DHL. So I oblige, tick the option to have it sent back if it cannot be delivered, include an invoice with his address as he wrote it down just in case something happens to the package itself and the address becomes illegible, and send it.
Fast forward a month and he opens a case on eBay because it has yet to arrive. I wish I could say that I'm surprised, but I really should have known better. At least he became civil when I told him that all I can give him is a receipt, which probably won't help him at all, and that I did everything I could to ensure a safe arrival despite having to use non-tracking shipping. Still doesn't change the fact that my PayPal-account is now in the red because the amount he paid is being withheld until the situation is resolved.
I highly doubt that he'll just close the case and accept that I'm not at fault, but I certainly hope he will.
If you have the messages stating he didn't want tracking and essentially assuming the risk of it and you have the receipt which it seems you do, you should be fine.
You can be an even bigger ass and report the phone stollen so it won't work on your old phone service.
I probably wouldn't have sent it at all without stipulating that it had to be tracked. Now he's claiming it hasn't arrived, when it might have, and now he can claim his money back - win win for him.
Yeah sounds like a scam.
I'll probably do exactly that from now on, but seeing how I did everything I could have given the circumstances (and have the documents to back it up), it would still have to be a downright bizarre decision by eBay to decide in favour of the buyer if it comes down to that.
Basically, I don't expect that I'll lose my money, but not being able to use PayPal until the situation is resolved is extremely inconvenient.
This is why also I do not allow international bidding on anything I toss up on ebay. Still get people asking if I'll make an exception (always on high end electronics, go figure) and I just have to remain with a firm no.
How much would the tracking have costed you to front it yourself?
Should send him an international ass whopping
I have a luggage that would fit Cream in it.
