Went to the grocery store and saw they had some new flavored water for a buck a piece. Figure w/e I'll give it a shot. Get home and crack open the cherry limeade one. It's fucking seltzer water.
People don't even care, they just ship stuff whenever they happen to get around to it. On the 9th i wanted to get a new purse, so i checked ebay, found someone selling one that looked pretty nice, buy it now for $1 + shipping. It was new user with 0 feedback, and 5 other auctions for $1, i assumed it was a mistake and they listed it wrong, but bought it anyway, because i knew i could get my money back if they didn't send it, and if they did, whoo $1 purse. Then... nothing. They didn't cancel it, send me a message, or even accept the money until today, a week later, they actually shipped it. Sucks because i already bought another figuring they were going to cancel the order![]()
Sooo, I've been extremely friendly despite the fact that the buyer (who turned down tracking twice) immediately opened a case and simply said what amounted to "item now or money back", I contacted DHL, I requested an investigation which might help find out what happened to the package, but now the guy says he's tired and turns the case over to eBay for review before the results of the investigation arrive, which, according to DHL, would have taken five days.
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, though at least he was honest with his final message to eBay and stated that he simply doesn't want to wait anymore. Though, of course, he thinks it's "only fair" for him to get reimbursement.
For those of you who don't know, I have a bad left shoulder and a bad lower back. The pain is usually always there, but bearable/manageable. My should though is has been fucking killing me all day. Hate this shit
Andalusian punched my metal and my shoulder has been shot for 5 days now, felt shoulder pain for the first time ever during deadlifts tonight.
Also first world problems, my gym was closed tonight due to power outage so i had to drive 3 min to my other gym and lift in the dark.
Might be true. Didn't take them even three hours to review the case and decide in favour of the buyer. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of the investigation, not that it's going to change anything at this point.
Also going to contact eBay once more and see if there's anything I can do. If not, I'll probably just drop eBay and PayPal altogether, that decision in favour of the buyer was complete and utter nonsense.
Did you show them the conversation where the buyer insisted on not taking a tracking number?
Dumb question but did you insure the package through DHL? If so i'd just open a claim with them then. Or would that have required tracking?
I couldn't show them anything. I assumed they would be reading the conversation I had with the buyer after the case was filed, so I made sure to mention every little detail while talking with him.
However, today I was in the middle of writing a message to the buyer who said that he was tired of the whole process when I got a mail that he took the case to eBay so they could decide. Three hours later I received another message stating that they already returned the money to him and expect me to pay it back. No reason, no explanation, just King Solomon speaking his verdict after the fact.
I immediately contacted customer support, but, since this was handled by the US-support, they told me I need to contact the US-support instead, which I, apparently, cannot do directly, so now I need to wait two days for them to contact me.
The issue the buyer had was that I couldn't prove I actually sent the package to him since I only had a receipt which stated that I sent something somewhere for 15.90€ (which is the rate for sending small packages to countries outside of the EU. Do they think I send fake packages so I can pretend I sent the items?).
Nevermind the fact, of course, that I couldn't have had something I could use as proof because he didn't need no tracking. And that I've been helpful through the entire process, from the beginning when he had problems paying me in a timely fashion, to the shipping process which I tried to make as safe as possible, offering him tracking twice, even looking up a cheaper option, then helping him as much as I could when it turned out that sending an uninsured package to Ruanda without tracking wasn't too safe after all. And, of course, remaining friendly throughout the whole process even though I would have preferred taking you guys up on that offer of stuffing Cream Soda into Airenn's luggage.
Then I request an investigation which might not only serve as proof that I did send the package, but also reveal the package's location, when he, all of a sudden, blows up in my face and states that he's tired and can't even wait another five days. Because the case was handled by eBay from that point forth, I couldn't even write another message, as the conversation was considered to be over.
He got the last word and there was nothing I could do about it or state in my defense anymore. And, of course, they decide in favour of him, even though the conversation explicitly shows that it's not that he cannot wait for the investigation I instigated to finish, it's just that he doesn't want to wait even though it was his decision that necessitated all of this in the first place.
I'm not done with this yet and I'll throw everything into their faces so they can at least recognize that it wasn't my fault, but I'm definitely done with both eBay and PayPal after this.
Edit:
That would have been extra since it was a small package, costing me 12.50€. In hindsight, this would have been great; I really wish I had just assumed that I would be the one blamed for his decision not to pay for tracking. So I'm definitely at fault here for being a naive moron.
You have to be really careful when selling anything worth more than you're willing to lose on ebay. It's really really easy to scam sellers there.
I got sick. I was terribly sick yesterday and could barely move now I am home taking care of my almost 3 year old son who is also sick. He cried for almost 2 hours solid this morning. Being suck is the worst. Fuck germs.
Had an ad popup on my FB feed a few days ago the Frostwolf pup was bac in stock so rushed to order it. Made the order and come today still says processing so ask what is up. I get told it's actually on BACKORDER. WTF - it didn't say that anywhere and it still allows the item to be ordered..
I contact Blizzard again via a ticket this time and they basically told me they keep stuff up if they expect shipments soon - yet don't inform people it may take several WEEKS to ship. UGHHHH.
I don't want to cancel because I've been wanting this forever but FU BLizzard.
Lepetit, you're not in the UK by any chance are you? I read the Daily Mail (yeah yeah, it sucks but at least it's not the Sun) and on Wednesdays they have a section called Money Mail. I read all the time about things going on with eBay, similar to what you're experiencing. If you don't get a result in your favour, it might be worth while writing to them explaining the situation and see if they can contact eBay on your behalf. Although, the tracking thing may work against you - is there anything in eBay's rules about having to send larger value items with tracking?
If not the Daily Mail, then see if a newspaper in your country does a similar thing.
Earlier today I saw a "...what" convo on FB. A girl posted a status saying American Sniper was a great movie, everyone should see it, etc. One of her friends then posted a comment saying she didn't want to see it because she was afraid Bradley Cooper's character would die and she'd end up crying through the whole movie.
lmao
