So I've been slapped with a debuff at work, which is basically to stay silent or not say anything inappropiate. (read last page if you want to know why). I've limited my conversations to work only, or topics relating to common norms.
I've noticed as a side effect this significantly improved my rant/critiscm rating when it comes to writing, resulting in the top manager going down to my manager to ask me to delete one of my posts in our internal Twitter (someone complained of an app. I chimed in and went off on a tangent. I thought, well, it was internal only, so what could possibly go wrong?). And as a result of bottling up, when I go out for lunch or dinner with people at work and/or outside of work, my tone and swearing seems to have gone right through the roof (although I did watch Seasons 14, 15 and 16 of South Park during the last 2 weeks, uncensored (After not watching it for a while, I went and caught myself up with the series)).
Oh, and apparently the client finds it hilarious that I am so quiet. I'm not sure if this is true but that's what a manager I'm friendly with said to me, as it was some "feedback". This somewhat annoyed me but I let it go.
I'm not sure what to do at the moment haha. I'm attempting to channel this energy somewhere by restarting some of my old projects. But it's only working so far.
It seems the only way to get through the day nowadays is to not use my brain and conform/not care about anything. If I try to care then I invoke my inner self and hulk out verbally.
I enjoy my work. I don't see a reason to leave yet. I'm aware I need to be more professional/normal, but you know it's sometimes boring.
