It's Lupus you guys.
You're right, you totally got the better end of the living arrangements spectrum.
BG is gonna get subpeona'ed for character testimony in a future domestic/custody case over these posts lol
I started with an old school push lawnmower at 12. My parents have half an acre .___.
Not only is it Sunday, but it's fucking Easter Sunday, and there is a loud-ass carpet restoration truck at one of the nearby vacant apartments being loud as fuck. The last time these guys were here, it was for about 5 hours. Could they maybe keep the noisy shit to the weekdays, at least?
Went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Rose Bowl.
Worst. Idea. Ever. They had a time where it was supposed to be 0-3 year olds where the parents could "help." It became a mad rush because our kids couldn't get any eggs. They were all gone in like 5 minutes. Then go to the slide, woman yells at me for being too close to her kid (wtf). Train was a reject one that just went around a small area in the back lot. Woman who made the balloon animals was lazy as shit, and the poodles not only looked like they had some kind of sickness, they all popped before we even left. WE were going to do some other activities, but by then we had enough. Basically, every activity we were excited to do, did not go as planned.
My daughter was super sad all morning. Our friend who normally does it at her house was with us, and she for sure is doing them at her house in the future (she is pregnant this year, so didn't want to). High on ridiculous.
The win part of the day was we did go to the drive-in to see home and cinderella. Home was weird, but the kids had a blast and loved getting to see the Frozen short. They all passed out in the beginning of cinderella, so things went as planned in that area. Definitely going to be utilizing the drive-in more often when we want to see a film.
Only thing is, we couldn't get my car to stop turning off the radio. (2014 Nissan Rogue if anyone knows how.) We would turn the car on then off and the radio would stay on for about 15 minutes then shut off, so we had to keep hitting it. Wouldn't be a huge deal but we turn the car around and sit in the trunk.
I have an ear infection and this is the most annoying shit ever. It feels like I have something stuffed in me ear and it's making everything sound super muffled, it's also sending pain down into my jaw and making my teeth ache. Now I know why babies cry all the time when they have one.
If it is anything like my car, there should be a setting to disable the auto-shut off, or at least get it to an hour between shut off. I know I have to do it via the LCD screen on my radio but not sure if you have that option.
Also had no idea they still have drive-in theaters playing current films.
I didn't get no Easter basket or candy. I have to work. This day SUCKS already!
Beats waking up to your wife reserecting whatever it was in her stomach into a garbage can. Then again easter was always just an excuse to cook a fancy dinner.
There aren't a lot, which is surprising. I think more people are starting to realize how awesome they are though. There was an insane line for the screens showing The Fast and the Furious 7. I think it sold out. Even Cinderella got pretty full.
I mean, first off, everyone brings their kids there, which is great because the cars are contained enough that it doesn't bother anyone especially since you have your own personal sound system. And of course means we don't have to find a babysitter. You can bring your own food (we loaded up on burgers, wings, chips, etc.). And if you have a hatchback like we do you can lay everything out flat and put some blankets in. Means you can basically watch new movies in a bed.
I used to do it in college a lot, but this is the first time we've gone since being out in cali. Definitely worth it if you have one close enough to you.
@Ksandra,
Just put the key in ACC position. As long as the key is on, the radio will stay on. Also, bring a jump box and charge $5 for each jump at the end of the movies.
Took a short break from work. Get back today and go to ESPN to open my day. Notice I'm getting notifications for all sports Pennsylvania despite living in LA. Forget all my web traffic routes through Moon, PA and anything defaults Pittsburg for location, and I see a bunch of sports news for a whole lot of teams I could care less about.
Generally I amuse myself the most it seems, but I got a kick out of it so here's my text conversation I just had.
Spoiler: show
My old car started acting like a bitch the last few months (Things breaking every month), final straw was the power steering went out half way home from work on friday. I decide it is time for a new car.
Wanted a Camaro or Mustang and that night I was getting really excited to go shopping for one Saturday. Turns out, i'm a tall motherfucker that can't sit comfortably in these two cars. With the seats all the way back, and the back rest down to the point where it is a bed, my head still taps the top of the roof on any little bump. I'm not even going to go into the blind spots that come from sitting this way (The Camaro was really bad about this). So after coming to terms that my ass will not be getting the car i wanted, i got sad and bitchy. Endded up getting a 2015 Fusion (Which i'm loving more and more) but it took most of the day up doing this shopping trip.
About half way through i started bitching about how long this was taking, which the wife replied, " AWWW is the poor baby not happy about getting a new car???? You need to shove your 1st world problems up your ass, i'm doing this with you and i'm not getting shit!"
