With the seats all the way back, and the back rest down to the point where it is a bed, my head still taps the top of the roof on any little bump. I'm not even going to go into the blind spots that come from sitting this way (The Camaro was really bad about this). So after coming to terms that my ass will not be getting the car i wanted, i got sad and bitchy. Endded up getting a 2015 Fusion (Which i'm loving more and more) but it took most of the day up doing this shopping trip.

About half way through i started bitching about how long this was taking, which the wife replied, " AWWW is the poor baby not happy about getting a new car???? You need to shove your 1st world problems up your ass, i'm doing this with you and i'm not getting shit!"
And then there was the Tesla.

Which you would probably hate because you are a "tall motherfucker" and the rear window is not that friendly coupled with the raised floor.

But honestly, I don't get it when I see someone with a Camero. I just think to myself, "you could have either payed less or just gotten something better", but what do I know?

What would consider a better car for around $30k? There are sedans and other things with the exact same features, sure, but that's not the type of car he wanted.

Correct, but it was really about my childhood. I grew up around them, and really loved the style, sound, etc they offered. As silly as it sounds now, it was the "You made it" car where i grew up. If you had one, you did well for yourself and your family and it really stuck with me as i grew older. The sad thing is, i ended up spending a good 5k more on the fusion then the Camaro i had picked out, mainly for all the "Toys" i wanted.

Edit: And i have looked into the Tesla which i really love, but with my travel and being in MI, the Tesla wouldn't be good for me.

Michigan and Camaros? I would have figured something less northern

Depends where you live and travel. http://www.teslamotors.com/findus#/b...&name=michigan
Soon enough it will be much more viable, but yeah it has a little ways to go despite the slow steady improvements and growing infrastructure of super chargers. Thing is since they are hurting to sell you can really beat them up over it for a steal.
The joy I get if I am in one and I am the first one at the stoplight next to someone I don't want to be behind. They never know what just hit them when I am just silently gone.

EDIT: A quick search of the Tesla forums tells me that MI was delayed on getting supers since 2013, and should be getting a lot of them in the next 12 months. Just because I was curious after seeing that map.

LOL, i grew up in Oklahoma, that's where the love of the Camaro comes from. Yea, the charging station is almost 200 miles away from me, 250 from work. Meaning i would have to only charge at my home. Round trip can be almost 120 miles for my work day, and all it takes is one crash in Detriot and my 1 hour+ drive can turn into 3+..... i know they can go almost 250 miles, but sitting in traffic.... I would do nothing but worry...

The more i look at it, the more i'm happy I didn't get one (Camaro). Mainly because of the miles i drive... the cost of gas alone would be bad. With the Fusion i've gone from filling up 2 and 1/2 times a week, to 1 and 1/2..... no telling what the Camaro would of done....

Ether way, the main reason i posted it was because of the baby i was being about getting new car....

I got sunburned as fuck while fishing in Lake Charles this weekend. This is what happens when you forget the sun exists during winter.

I also caught crabs instead of fish somehow.

boo...Time to look at the computer and see how to fix the time-out delay. The push-button idea is neat and all, but I jump-start far more push-button vehicles than is normal for the percentage of them on the road. Add this "feature" on to the list of reasons I don't like them. /grumpy old man

Apparently the post office has a new policy that all credit cards must be signed or they won't accept them. We never sign our cards as everywhere asks for ID now. Guy was an asshat to me and his other associates took non signed credit cards and when I asked why they weren't following it he refused to answer. Customers all backed me up getting upset, as he made the woman before me sign hers in front of him and refused service until then. She was pretty angry too. Now he did point to the posted policy but working in retail I maybe have seen 10 % signed. Fucking self service machine was down so had no choice.

When I asked for a supervisor it went from no one is here to Oh I am the supervisor on duty.. Ugh. Why can't we have pin code shit already..

They've had that policy for years apparently. Back in 2005 I went and my card said "See ID" on the back and she wouldn't let me use it until I actually signed the card.I think it's something they rarely enforce and only the real dickheads do it.

That's me. Be an asshole and I will not swipe your card until you show me an ID and it matches the signature on the back of the card. Otherwise, I don't give a fuck and I'm sure I've swiped my fair share of stolen cards because most of time I look at the back but it doesn't register in my mind what I'm looking at.

I just googled how to get this to work in case I ever have to drive my mom's car with keyless ignition since this would drive me insane. So apparently you can cycle through the ignition positions by hitting the ignition button without depressing the brake (which you would usually do when you start the car).

    From the manual:
When the ignition switch is pushed without de-
pressing the brake pedal, the ignition switch will
    illuminate.
    Push the ignition switch center:
    ●once to change to ON.
●two times to change to OFF.
The ignition switch will automatically return to the
LOCK position when any door is either opened or
closed with the switch in the OFF position.
The ignition lock is designed so that the ignition
switch position cannot be switched to OFF until
the shift lever is moved to the P (Park) position.
There were a few other details in section 5 of the manual that I still can't figure out.

This is another one of the whole bunch of stupid surrounding debit/credit cards. According to the contracts that Visa/Mastercard/etc have the merchants sign, the merchants are not allowed to ask for ID when a card is presented for payment. They are only allowed to compare the signature on the back with the signature on the receipt. This would be why some places won't accept a card without a signature, and why all the cards say "Not Valid unless signed" or something similar.

If a merchant asks for ID and enough people complain (and some people do) about it the merchant can be fined or have their ability to accept cards revoked.

Yeah I mean it was more the fact that only he was enforcing it that upset people and myself more. Typically I use self service because I hate people anyway lol but of course it was out of order. For a supposed supervisor you aren't supervising your other employees fucknut.

I do recall when working retail that company policy dictated we had to ask for ID, and had the right to refuse service so I get it. I acknowledge the fact that it does indeed say on every card not valid unless signed but I also feel that the majority of people and places don't enforce it and prefer the ID method.

Obviously no current way in the US is foolproof but this was the first enforcement of policy I had run into which took me off guard.

I absolutely agree with this statement and would much prefer to have merchants ask for ID, the problem is that it's the one method that merchants are contractually bound to not use. There are many companies that either ignore it and hope they don't get fined or just feel that the fine is the cost of doing business.
