Heh, feelings Mutual Sep. But i'm going to make you rage against Best Buy even more. I just found out they partnered with The Retail Equation. Essentially if you buy something and return it, and within the next 30 days you try to return anything else they will deny you the return even if it's in policy they will tell you tough shit cause you will be flagged as a habitual returner, and it's all tied to your drivers license swipe.
Someone just posted this:
git diff is too hard for some people, i guess. It's much easier to post a screenshot of a screenshot.
What are we supposed to be seeing?
Even worse: it's a picture of windows photo viewer, displaying a picture of code.
Ah there we go, now it makes sense. For some strange reason I thought he posted a git diff and then edited it to the picture quickly for better quality.
Ordered a slam dunk Christmas gift for my girlfriend. Expensive Sleeping Beauty soundtrack in excellent condition with beautiful packaging 1995 import. What I got was a 1975 45 RPM four song EP with about $5 shipped. I bitched so hard that Amazon refunded me without even getting it back first. Sure put a damper on my Christmas.
Minutes after midnight I get an IM from friend saying that a guy got shot to death near his house. Shit's getting ridiculous.
Work had a critical failure in the scheduling department and everyone has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas. They gave the single people the early shift and the people with kids the shift that gets off at 7 AM.
Don't call tech support on Christmas people. This should go double if your power went out and you live in the middle of no where, then you should call the power company.
I'm at work right nowAAA never closes.
I feel terrible for our Oncalls. We're getting a heavy fall storm that wont go away all day. And tonight, jesus.
Supposed to get snow starting tonight through the end of the week here in Pittsburgh. Day after a holiday + snow = fucking chaos.
Pittsburgh doesn't count as first world.
Our dispatch center runs remotely on holidays. Not exactly sure how it works, but the supervisors handle the dispatch side and the CSRs field the phone calls from home. We run 3 CSRs and 2 supervisors to cover the whole portland area on a 12 on, 12 off rotation. The drivers are on-call in 6 hour shifts. In that 6 hours, we get 1 or 2 calls max. It is completely dead on Christmas.
Yeah it was dead yesterday. Sadly we're getting fucking crushed today. The storm moved in overnight on our WV and OH areas. It's now hitting metro Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. We're sitting on over 400 active calls. 80 calls are in our queue holding for over 30 minutes and we have over 100 calls abandoned(people getting stuck on hold then hanging up.) The weather combined with the standard post holiday call volume is crushing us.
To put in perspective on a typical Wednesday at this time we usually have about 100 - 120 active calls.
Brill! What is the secret code phrase I need to say to get instant help from Pittsburgh AAA in such a situation?
"My tires are on fire"?
