Check out the fitness thread, download myfitnesspal and use it to plan meals. I've lost 58 pounds since mid-December and lowered my BP from prehypertension to nominal levels. While I walk the equivalent distance of 7 miles a day at work, I don't do any extra cardio. MWF lift weights and I mix in some yoga on the other days.
This is fucking annoying. I found out that for whatever reason my occupational therapy is now not covered at the Orthopedic office I've been going to since my first surgery. Either they got tired of workman's comp shit or something. So it's two fold : I get more therapy on both hands but have to start over at some new facility I know nothing about while keeping follow up appointments still with the original Orthopedic office. Nothing like going across town all the time without public transit options for the new place.
Now my husband will have to take off work to bring me ugh. This place better not fucking suck because my old therapist was amazing. If I ever meet anyone that works for Sedgwick I will punch them in the fucking face.
And on the weight loss thing : I can't stress enough how you have to be ready on your own terms to make those lifestyle changes. My struggle is up and down recently due to the second surgery, loss of any strength in arms and hands and at times going back to food to compensate. Them I start eating good food again and question why I ever stopped. It's frustrating, it's difficult, it's an uphill battle but after having friends on the liquid meal replacement and all their side effects, I'm happy to be doing it on my terms. I've still managed to keep almost everything off from lastly year but some clothes are tight again which is on me blah.
Yeah, I gained about 30lbs from the 50 I lost last year back. Mainly because I stopped working out. I was killing myself and not seeing any benefit to doing it, so stopped. I did run a 10km marathon last fall, I want to do it again so I'm going to start up with a C25K program and work towards doing a full 10km run by October/November again.
My recommendation would be to start tracking calories if you haven't already, and doing a 30ish minute walk a day if your in a position to do so.
iPhone cables fucking suck, so I went to Walmart to buy a new one then I realized when I got home that the one I bought wouldn't fit with my case on, so now I am going to have to take my Lifeproof case off of my phone whenever I want to charge it. #fwp
rotavirus is fail on a whole new hellish order.
everything. fucking. HURTS.
As I have graced the many other threads of fair BG forums with topic dependent bombshells, I feel it is time I bless this one also. Ready yourselves:
Spoiler: show
In all seriousness, you may Google this if the rhyme of my last sentence in the spoiler tags was not enough convincing for you.
Addendum: Despite the appearance, I do not write the dialogue for Shantotto, though it is getting harder and harder to convince people I don't work for SE.
Mow lawn today, bring in mower, put down garage door... it catches for no discernible reason with the last partition at the curve on the rail. It starts jerking back and forth, I try to push the button again to reverse the pull, but to no avail. Beeline to the plug, but don't make it in time as the partition bows and glass explodes everywhere.
I'm seriously beginning to think I've go some Final Destination shit going on. The 3 hour clean up and fix in the heat didn't help, either.
Windows in part of the door I assume

Both my brothers decided not to show for mothers day dinner. I don't really care what they do personally, but I'm definitely going to let them know sitting and eating dinner with a mother missing two children in a restaurant is not fun. They're going to get shit for their next birthday present from me lol.
I never thought of that actually. It's funny, because my parent's garage has that design and I overlooked it. From the way Arus described it, I pictured the the glass on the bottom for some reason.
Hardly a first-world problem...
...in a sad way of course.
Got a letter from Brighthouse saying my rates were going up, so I call them. They say they can't really lower it (and they know they have me by the balls because there aren't any other ISPs in my exact area) so I ask them to lower me down to the Standard cable option so I'm losing about 800 channels in one fell swoop.
And it's still going to cost me a dollar more per month than it did before.
Fuck you, Brighthouse.
If NBCSN was part of that package, that is truly a FWP with the conference finals coming up.
Fuck cable. I cancelled years ago and have only had internet for about 3 years now. Only miss it during college football season.
