sounds like a wild ride
sounds like a wild ride
I'm watching Masterchef Junior right now and I'm wayyyyyyyyy too emotionally invested. They just sent home the cutest one home.
Please stop making them cry.
I may be drinking.
I can't handle this.
lololololol
Some Algerian got pushy with me in front of Sacré Coeur basilica today. Grabbed on my arm trying to put some stupid green and yellow string and I assume to try and then lift my wallet. He clamped on and wouldn't let go until I yanked my bicept away. Wanted to slap him for being rude, but he had a lot of friends with their selfie sticks and fake hand bags watching when I paused.
After watching the angry display of some guys who pissed off a street hawker get chased away from the Eifel tower with a wine bottle last night, I figured I should go.
That being said I feel like there should be a random thoughts and or random travels thread because only half of what I say (aside from the entirety of my posting) is a fail. The pictures of food alone, man..
I was in Italy over spring break so I feel you on the pushy merchants. One of them followed me halfway to my hotel from the Pantheon (it's not terribly far, but also not close) telling me he loved me and that he was from Senegal and wouldn't leave me alone until I told him I was married.
You should make your own post about your travel Mildryan. That's the best idea you've had.
Actually I'm not opposed to a random thoughts slash bullshitting for the sake of bullshitting thread. I'd probably use it, not gonna lie.
I made one for you
Go post in there.
Ordered a pair of damascus anti=cut gloves and I was trying them on, the straps ripped off when I tugged them slightly to fasten the wrist area lol. Thought these were supposed to be the best? ffffff
So I was taking a train to Cologne from Paris, and it ended pretty quickly. The power to all the rails to Cologne had gone out. We are now all shoved off in Leige Belgium.
So Thalys, the train company I was booked with. Tells us pretty much nothing. We all figure out to take a city train to Welkenraedt.
We get to Welkenraedt and are told busses will be coming in 25 minutes to take us to Cologne. So 30 minutes go by and no one knows anything. No buses or anything and no ETA. Eventually we find out from the Belgium train company that buses are coming to take us to Aarren. The buses finally come about 30 minutes after that, but they only sent 3 buses for ~200 hundred people. Naturally myself and the group of Germans I have become friends with don't makes that bus or the next one or the next one. We found out that not only had Thalys done nothing and left us holding the bag, but that school is now out for the day so only one bus will be coming now for ~100+ people left. I guess school kids ride nice charter buses.
Eventually they give us water and delicious waffles since we have been there so long. After like 1.5+ hours for a bus, we finally get one and head to Aarren.
We get to Aarren and find out at the Thalys doesn't care about us (no shit they abondoned us in Liege and we got a free local ride) and tells us tobuy new tickets. I blurt out "seriously" and then step aside as Mary from my new group of 4 born from this, begins going off a little on them in German.
So we get a new ticket and wait 30 minutes to then take a train 8 stops to Cologne. 8.5 hours from start to finish instead of 3. What a fucking mess.
Don't know how long you're planning on staying in Germany, but getting anywhere by train might be becoming difficult as most of the trains won't be going due to yet another strike that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday at 2AM. Apparently, it's going to last longer than the last one (six days) with an open-end, so you'll definitely want to keep an eye out for the updated train schedules that will be made public tomorrow; assuming you need to rely on the Deutsche Bahn, of course.
Wtf are people so aggressive when ordering food? Holy shit. Went into the city for a need patty and cocoa bread and all these people are super fucking tough on this poor cashier lol
if you ever - ever - answer your work phone "Hello?" I am going to hunt you down and slowly remove half-inch-square strips of skin from your fucking body keeping you alive as long as possible because fuck you so fucking hard you fucking worthless piece of shit
and you know - you KNOW - these are the same people who bitch about bad customer service at other companies. motherfucker, your name and the company I'm calling are requirements, not optional. it's fucking basic common courtesy for fuck's sake.
I might be having a bad day at work. just saying.
that is all for today's #firstworldproblems
Apparently somebody said hello to him.
