I WAS HAVING A MOMENT
no seriously though, working in customer service at times completely drains my ability to deal with humanity. that's what happened just now lol.
I hate working with customers, but I actually would have preferred it on Sunday. Out back having a cigarette before I clock in, and another manager found me and asked me to start early because they were having projector issues. I said fuck that, because last time it happened I got a write-up, thanks to some bitch who complained to corporate that we didn't keep her informed as to what was going on, because we were a little busy trying to fix the problem. Things settle down, then about 2 hours later we have a urinal start flooding in the restroom, with about half an inch of water on the floor. Water shut-off is in the wall behind the sensor, and it takes me about 5 minutes to find the specialized tool to remove the panel and get the water to stop.
While this is happening, I get a call that one of the projectors has sound, but no picture on-screen. Movie doesn't start for 10 minutes, so it drops down on my priority list. Walk out of the bathroom, and some dumb bitch starts telling me that I better fix the problem because she has had a bad day and wants to relax. She's yelling that the movie starts at 9:40 and she is missing it. The trailers actually started at 9:50 but I wasn't going to waste my breath on her. Go up to turn the bulb on, and have an error light that could potentially mean a serious problem. Only fortunate part of the night is that all it took to fix was flipping a breaker.
To top it off, the projector that had a problem earlier in the day crapped out for the last show of Mad Max and couldn't be fixed due to a fried circuit board. (Hooray for all digital). So I get to tell the people in the theatre they won't get to watch their movie after all and start processing refunds and passes.
I suppose the one bright spot is that it will push me into overtime this week.
My Fitbit Charge HR broke yesterday and I feel so sad about it. My co-worker found out that her mom has cancer and all I can think of is not being able to find out my steps/heart rate.. wtf is wrong with me lol..
Management had people bring in ingredients for a taco bar for our monthly meeting. What I thought was chicken turned out to be tofu. That shit is so bland and tasteless. How do people eat that garbage? Thankfully the black beans and cheese were enough so I could choke down my tacos so I wouldn't be rude throwing them out. So doing a McDonald's run after this.
All the soy sauce. All of it. The only way to offset the horrid taste of healthy shit is with something that is extremely bad for you.
Or get good tofu. I'm Asian and eat tofu regularly. What you westerners call tofu shouldn't even be allowed to be called food.
Yammed my Civic over a curb by clutching instead of breaking in 2nd. Got the bumper repaired but it always sucks to think about it.
Do you use your left foot to brake?
I don't get why people do that. Right foot brake and accelerate, left foot clutch.
always always always
Yeah I just don't even. ..
Nah, right foot brake and accelerate, left foot clutch like any normal person. My feet were just in the motions of clutching instead of breaking, lol. I guess one could call it a memory relapse or something. It wasn't until I hit the curb was I like "OH SHIT!" I was simply turning into a gas station to vacuum my interior and it turned into something more.
Breaking with your left is some dangerous shit if you aren't used to it. However I do have a friend who brakes with his left when he does his rally racing.
I failed today by not reading the minimum requirements for Witcher 3. Downloaded it, played it for almost an hour before I realized my GPU was at 96 degrees. Now my card is heating up much faster than previously and is probably gonna die.
First time I drove an automatic after years of driving a stick I braked hard with my left and if I hadn't had my seatbelt on I'd have gone through the windshield.
Yeah, never did that again.
So the shit cherry on my tofu cake. Went to get a quick bite after our meeting. Put my car in reverse, didn't see any car, start to reverse out, bam, nail a honda pilot that I believe but can't prove speeding through the parking lot. She came out with a golf ball sized dent and some minor scratching on her car. I have to have the entire rear bumper and lower bumper replaced. And this was at idle speed. Today can eat a bag of dicks.
