I'm on anti-biotics for a lung infection...the pills already taste like shit on the outside. I cant swallow pills despite all my best efforts, and they taste really really fucking horrible with a 30 minute long lingering aftertaste. Its Clarithromycin, if anyone cares. I dont even know how I got this shit, probably at the airport, where every virus and infection is known to fester.

I also got a codeine cough medicine though :D

In the past when I've had trouble swallowing pills, I've found that putting the pill in a spoonful of apple sauce will get it down.

Take a mouthful of something with a relatively strong/masking taste (chocolate milk perhaps). Tilt your head back, open your mouth, and drop the pill in it. Swallow as soon as it enters, and you should avoid most of the taste.

Something I started doing when I was a kid with terrible tasting antibiotics.

Taking pills without anything is what always gave me trouble. Only possible solution I can offer for when you find yourself in that situation is don't swallow for a while to build up a bunch of saliva to use as a pseudo gulp of water. Otherwise always try to take it with any type of flavored liquid, or chase it with some food.

seriously though, take drink (ideally not water, if the pills taste bad). pop pills in your mouth. quickly tilt head back, then swallow. You want the pills to sink to the back of your mouth (but not come to rest; gagging aint no fun) before you swallow so you can pause for a few seconds with your head tipped if youre having problems.

the only pills ive ever had a problem with are my folic acid; every now and then, it'll catch in my throat and stay there leaking awful tasting residue into my mouth and making it uncomfortable to swallow. usually a drink will push it the rest of the way down.

So I left a VM with an attorney to see about a consultation. Dealing with the service manager today, they think they narrowed down the culprit to the rattling I've been dealing with. in 2013 there was a customer service request replacement for the headliner due to it wrinkling and having some glue bleed through the cloth. It appears another dealership before the dealership I bought the car from purchased it performed this recall and instead of replacing it, they did some horrible cutting work, leaving my headliner like this.

They also discovered that the wiring harnesses from the headliner they took out of a 2016 fusion has a different layout than the 2013 (no fucking surprise there) so they are waiting still on the headliner ordered almost a week ago. All they know it shipped and they have no fucking clue where it's at right now.

Whole family has had the fly for the past two days. My son recovered after the first day. I honestly don't know which is worse. Being sick and dealing with a sick baby, our being sick and dealing with a healthy baby trying to destroy my life and his running around grabbing everything he is not supposed to touch. -.-

My college is trying to charge me out the out of state tuition of 12k, even though I have lived in the same state for 20 years.

Been at my job for two years, found a pdf document for the new hire in my department on the work computer, saw that her starting pay is higher than what I make. Asking for a raise the end of this week and leaving if they refuse.

My work does the same thing to entry level people. All the floor associates get ~25 cent/hour raises every year but they revisit the pay scale every year and begin new hiring at a couple $ more per hour and don't retroactively apply it so the list of people within the same job title by $/hour is, from highest rate to lowest rate, a reflection of least experience to most experience.

Just venting a little: my twin brother committed suicide this morning on what you might call the local suicide bridge. He was on anti-depressants for most of his adult life and had complained to my dad recently that the latest ones weren't doing the job. He left no note or anything, didn't see anyone before he left. We'll never know why he felt like he had to do it.

Also, I've literally just gotten off the phone after telling my mum. We'd been trying to contact her all day, so I wasn't expecting to have to be the one to tell her.

I'm so very sorry fuck I wish I had anything that could help. Having battled depression most of my life and having that struggle daily, it hurts to see anyone suffer through this.
