My 3 year old is so loud. It's just the way they are. Neighbor needs to get over it. I know how you feel though. I always panicked like crazy during sleep training. Fucking myth your can do that without them crying. Was waiting for the police to show up one day, as I have read that has happened to people. Luckily, I was just paranoid.

Fortunately, she already is there. Apparently, the pain isn't too bad as of yet, but she's extremely week and can barely lift a telephone or speak. I honestly hope this won't take too long, as I really don't want her to suffer.

Pancreatic cancer is quick and the actual cancer in the pancreas is generally painless, which is why it's the most deadly cancer. The metastases would become be the painful part, but if she's already getting weak then they might not get a chance.

Also had this same paranoia when my first son was born, there was this old woman who lived below my ex-husband and I and I was always terrified she was going to freak out and fucking hate us for it. Randomly talked to her one day and it came up and she was like "Oh my god it's seriously no big deal that's what babies do." Made me feel a lot better.

People who hate kids and complain about kids in residential neighborhoods suck. When I was working dispatch at the security firm, we'd get these calls from people complaining that kids are being loud all the time. During summer, especially. We'd be like ... that's what kids do ... and then the officer would go out there and tell them the same thing. The only time I got legitimately mad at kids in my neighborhood was when this little girl (about 10 or so) was actually SCREAMING at the top of her lungs literally right outside my door. I poked my head out to see that she wasn't being murdered (she wasn't), gave her "the look," and she freaked out and ran to play somewhere else.

I don't particularly like kids however I understand the difference between a kid being loud and a lack of any supervision. During the day it might annoy me but there was only one time I was so upset I wanted to complain and that was due to the brat banging on my window at my cat scaring him.

I don't particularly care for the kids two doors down at our complex because when they or anyone runs the whole fucking living room shakes, it annoys the hell out if me especially in early mornings. Still with that said I've never actually started anything because I get it. I may not like it but unless it's a constant issue that impacts my daily life or sleep schedule I don't see the big deal.

On the same token though I'll be honest after a long day at work I don't exactly want to hear it either or my day off, etc. It's part of why I didn't have them myself. There's definitely should be some give on both sides though.

Shitty neighbors?

When my neighbor moved in above me she put all her old, broken furniture and garbage directly in front of my front door. A few days later she decided that hammering at 1:30am on a weeknight was a good idea. I shouldn't have to tell someone to stop hammering at 1:30am in an apartment...

After the landlord takes care of her trash, because I refused to touch it, a few months later she starts feeding neighborhood cats which attracted skunks, raccoons, and opossum. She made a "shelter" our of some styrofoam and tape over the winter... Landlord tells her to stop putting cat food out (I didn't call him this time, but I'm sure the neighbors did). The lady next door puts a can of cat food on her stairs and she rings my bell and knocks like a crazy person accusing me of doing it and that she's going to get evicted if she feeds the cats any more.

And the garbage she makes, holy fuck. She fills an entire large trash can (like 60 gallons) and then has trash bags on the ground around it in 3 days. My fiancee and I make 1-2 bags of garbage per week... At one point she was dumping kitty litter directly into MY trash can, no bag.

Long story short, she won't even make eye contact with me anymore from all the times I had to ask her to stop doing things that any considerate human would not do.

Also I'm pretty sure she only has 1 set of clothes. I have only ever seen her in tiny black shorts and a tight black t-shirt no matter the temperature or weather. And trust me, they are not her size.

my neighbors are nice. i dont mind kid noises. this is MN so the walls are necessarily well insulated and we live next to train tracks so theyre pretty well sound-proofed. i really only hear other people if theyre stomping, moving furniture, or walking through the entryway past my door. kids i hear because theyre always runnin and gigglin and cryin, but theyre kids so whatevs. as long as theyre not being obnoxious idgaf, and they seldom are.

people always try to apologize for their kids's noise even if i dont say anything. i mean i guess i understand, but tbh if i had a problem with the noise theyre making, id say so. directly to your kids, if they're not in your apartment. "hey take it down a notch" in a calm voice is surprisingly effective.

Oh, neighbor's children... My neighbor's house seems to be the gathering point for several of the neighborhood kids. Recently, they've taken to kicking various balls around, so they got a soccer goal. Whenever they use it, the soccer goal sits in my yard. Very irritating because no one ever asked me if that was okay and sometimes it just sits in my yard when no one's using it, but whatever. Bonus points, the guy now mows my lawn on that side of the driveway. Every time they set up the goal, it's lined up such that they're kicking the balls into my yard (that's fine, I don't care). Unfortunately, my car is directly behind the goal. Miss the goal by a little? Balls slam straight into my car. I've noticed a couple dents. Whatever, it sure isn't some luxury car or anything. Also, it's partly my fault because my garage is full of shit so I can't get the car inside (fuck places that don't have basements for storing shit in, by the way). Sometimes the balls will slam into the garage door, which causes this super loud and irritating vibrating sheet metal sound that scares the shit out of the pets, and every so often we'll just find balls and straight-up garbage in our yard.

Their behavior irritates the shit out of me sometimes, but it's all small enough that I don't care enough to say or do anything. I want to go tell them to go kick their balls around the park that is literally a block away, but I can't see them moving the soccer goal that far.

It isn't a long lasting solution, but try to put a nickel sized ball of wasabi on your sushi next time and you tell me it doesn't clear your sinuses right up.

Also having had like 100 sinus infections and many surgeries. My anecdotal evidence is that it does help at lot. At least spicy peppers.

Seems like the car thing is the big problem; maybe get a couple of fence posts and a snow fence and ask them to set it up behind the goal/in front of your car anytime they play?

Noises and apartments. My wife and I will only live on the top floor moving forward after our last apartment experience. All hours of the night our above neighbors would be stomping, hammering, screaming. Literally thought they were building furniture or something. They were Mediterranean so we had no idea what they were saying. We would even pound on the ceiling and yell for them to shut up but they never did. We submitted multiple complaints but it was always "we don't find anything out of the ordinary". Apartment living unfortunately can be rough.

I'm in a similar situation right now. I live in a fairly upscale apartment complex where I didn't think I would have to worry about this shit, but I get dance party techno bass and what sounds like people bowling above me almost nightly.

Super annoying. I call the cops though if it's after 1am. I have a policy that if I get out of bed, put on clothes, and leave my apartment, somebody is going to get hit. So I just bypass that potentially shitty option and go straight to the cops. Neighbors wont make eye contact with me anymore.

I'm pretty lucky with my neighbors here. The worst I've had to experience since I moved here was the pipe bursting upstairs, and that wasn't even my neighbor's fault. I'll sometimes hear his TV when he's playing video games but I really don't care that much. I'll also hear him and his girl having sex but again, don't really care that much. At least someone's fucking getting some around here lol. (And to be fair, if I had someone to fuck around with I'd definitely return the favor so I can't really call anyone out on that one.)
