Honestly, I picked SD to move to from FL because it was very similar, but less rain. Beach, sun, warm weather, less humidity. Only downside is everything is way more money. We also have HILLS and MOUNTAINS. Best part imo, Florida is too flat!

Probably not. But it does come with a bigger paycheck than what I was expecting, so that's super nice.

It snows more often in Florida than it does here. You get those weird deep freezes occasionally during winter. It snowed once when I was a kid on Christmas morning and that is the only time I have seen it snow on the California coast.

I actually prefer cold to warm places. Eventually I want to live in a place with seasons or at least a winter with snow. Skiing was the best sport/activity I've ever done and I would love to make it a more regular occurrence.

The Florida heat really isn't that awful, it's no worse than what Texas/Arizona/California etc. gets, but the double whammy of the heat plus humidity makes Florida the way it is. Outside in the summer for longer than 2 minutes? Hello swamp ass, thanks for visiting.
