Don't wanna know what kind of glasses you're buying there.![]()
I had myopia of -7.5 and -8.5, and had Lasik 13 years ago. It is easily the best money I have ever spent in my entire life. Without a doubt. Waking in the night to do ANYTHING, without breaking toes on furniture or falling down staircases is worth more money than I can pay, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. In the last 13 years, it's easy to do the math for the consumables that I was using (contact lenses at 60€/month (60*12= €720/year), and glasses at ~€500/2-3 years). In a best case scenario, we are talking about €7200 every 10 years for contact lenses and €1500-€2000 every 10 years for glasses. €8700 against the €1000 that it cost for Lasik (in Canada, out of pocket). For the total of the 13 years, i'm at a SAVINGS of ~€10k. For purely economic reasons, it's a winner. BUT - even without that, the change of lifestyle is immense. Doing any kind of sport without requiring rec-specs is the best thing ever, driving fast cars without the threat of losing contacts, sailing, swimming, etc. not to mention, being able to see at night while under the covers with my girl...
Lol? My glasses cost me like $400, even factoring in exams I'm only replacing them every two years. Not even close.
Plus you guys are still missing the fact that I can't get the procedure done because of my reaction to the eye drops. The doctors told me they wouldn't do it. So even if I could financially justify it, I couldn't have it done anyway. I've made peace with that.
You are correct.
Fuckyeah for nearsightedness!
kuro is there a way to make my eyes reshape into the kind of eyes that vin diesel has in riddick?
Still feeling pain under my right breast/chest area. Not in the boob, but the ribs/underneath. Starting to worry this is something else instead of a product of the flu/cough I had. Ughhh.

Lost my sound bar remote and have to get up to adjust the volume occasionally. I can only remember last having it on my recliner couch and I have torn it apart every way I can think. Turned over my single recliner and the sleeper sofa and found nothing. I'm beginning to think it got thrown away unless it is hung on a bar somewhere inside the furniture. I know it'll turn up as soon as I buy a replacement.
