I find it even worse when that thread has a 2nd post. Same guy replies "figured it out, closing thread" without saying how they fixed it.
But I hate calling our IT guys with a passion. They will tell us everything works fine according to their end so there obviously isn't a problem, even when I'm looking at my screen and can see that, nope, its still not working.
Our IT department isn't large enough for the size of our company division. Requires you send a ticket through the system. 98% of the time if you are not a director or manager, it gets lost in a shuffle. It took me updating a ticket for 3 consecutive Mondays to get a response, and then another 2-3 days for the request to actually be addressed, and then another day for the ticket to close.
And don't get me started on getting unicorn blood.... I mean replacement toner. It's the same process, but it's like there is no toner in a stock room, and they Pony Express the toner cross country and take an additional 48 hours upon receipt of said toner for the IT dept to actually finish the replacement. Fuck I rather go to Office Depot myself and get it done in 1 day rather than 6 weeks.
Our department is so fucked right now. We have way too much on our workload to handle it fully staffed let alone when people take vacation, jury duty or become sick.
They still won't allow us to hire anyone yet are adding two more dealerships to our 6 person team to handle, on top of Internet leads and chats.
I've only been back a few months and I'm on daily burnout. Between sales making promises they or we can't keep and an increased work load that is near unmanageable, I'm considering seeking other employment after this workman's comp thing.
I'm so fucking over this week. My second oldest sister who I already dislike just posted a FB update outlining the exact same fucking situation she put our own mother through 20 years ago .
But of course as usual can't even see that and decides to further trash talk. Fuck it so over it.
I cannot sleep. Been trying for three and a half hours, and I'm supposed to be up in four.
I find it easier to get to sleep if i think about certain types of things. it can't be something i'm super gung-ho about doing the next day. it has to be either a mechanical problem or a concept for a project down the road.
my go-to is the design for my massive lego spaceship.
but that only works for those times where you're otherwise ready for sleep but can't stop thinking about all the important shit you have to do. It's really hard NOT to think of something, but relatively easy to think of something else instead.
Another miserable hot af day.
Just had another bout of vertigo at work a couple hours ago. 1 Dramamine and 30 minutes of laying on the floor of my office and I'm better now, but this shit is starting to get scary. Nothing like sweating through your clothes and having the whole room feel like one giant tea cup ride to ruin your day. Last time I got hit was a week ago at work, had to call 911 as I was so dizzy, and after two blood sugar tests and several ekg scans, everything came back fucking normal so there's no clue why i'm dealing with this bullshit.
Probably the rocks in your head rolling around, or getting stuck. The latter happens to my mother, and she will have to visit the doctor for a simple procedure where they roll her head around until they dislodge.
Probably moving out in June. Hoping to avoid ivory tower living for awhile. I want a yard.
get ur rocks off melenea
fuck summer
I just checked BOM, and it's a super limited release so you're SOL.
But this apparently came out last week.

For everybody wanting to come to Chicago, you do know it gets pretty cold in the winter here? If 65 degrees makes you bitch and put on a sweater, it is not the place for you to be.
