And this, all year round:

I actually can't wear heels and it's impossible to find nice dress shoes that aren't stilettos.. It's a pain.
I am typically in sneakers or flat sandals and these were sport flip flops. Due to ear infections for 15 years at least 3 times a year in my left my balance has suffered. Though when I'm working out it improves, it's just been miserably hot so I'm looking forward to starting my heavy workout routine again.
Well once I'm not being forced to bend over when walking ><
Fucking Kaiser. So I made an appointment online like always for my fall is due and now back pain. Once the tech checks me in says " Oh you have to go to the minor injuries clinic because we don't handle that here." Do had to walk across the walkway to the other building, takes 20 minutes to check in and now no eta when they'll even get to me.
And when checking in receptionist even questioned on that I was sent over because even though she's only one here claims no one called over yet I was there when the tech spoke to her. FFS.
Wasted 7 dollars on a cut of meat. Lol never doing that again. Could have just went to Kristina's cafe and got a whole meal for that price.
Tried cooking red meat again since people keep saying how easy it is. Lol worst steak I've ever had.
Anything is easy to cook if you know how to do it. If you don't know how, or don't do it often, you could end up with shitty steak.
How'd you cook it and for how long? Did you marinate it and for how long? If you're doing stove top cooking, your best bet is a cast iron pan. Can sear it off on one side, flip it, then throw it in the oven at 350 or just directly sear it on both sides if you want it rare.
Doesn't really matter because I'll never be spending 7 dollars on a single piece of meat again; but
marinated for 6hrs; was told to just make sure it's brown on both sides for rare (which is how I like it).
it was edible, but that's about it. If what I made last night was on the dollar menu at McDonald's, I'd order the McDouble over it every time
I can't pinpoint the problem. Just didn't appeal to my taste buds. Nothing more or less than that. It wasn't overcooked; it was definitely rare.
was a step up over the last time I tried, in which I ended up feeding it to the dog and then going to get fast food
What cut was it? How thick was it?
May have been top sirloin? Not 100% sure on that though. Was fairly thick (thicker than anything you'd get in a restaurant anyways though. Idk on comparison to other home steaks because I never have home made steak)
There's a lot of factors that can screw up a steak.
-Marinade
-Underseasoning pre-cook
-Not a hot enough pan
-Shitty cut of meat
-Improperly cut meat (ruins the texture, some butchers are notorious for this)
My first attempts at steak in a pan were pretty awful.
I swapped over to only really doing hanger steaks and flank steaks in the pan because they are the only ones that don't taste terrible because I am a bad cook.
If you ever wanna go for it again, get thinner steaks and season the shit out of them. Works for me.
Sliced hanger steak
Flank steak sandwiches
lol yea my shit certainly didn't look like that
I've never had success with top sirloin because there's almost no fat in it and I screw the temps up.
Does this look like the steak?
If I was going to go for that again I'd probably tenderize it, pound it flat with a mallet, and cut it into stir fry strips. Steak is hard.
Looks pretty similar to that.
So okay, here's a nasteh one.
I went to the Dragoncon parade at the beginning of the month. Rode MARTA; now they normally don't sell paper tickets but b/c it was big event, they were. The workers were having trouble with the card swiper at the time(it was one of those attached to a mobile phone), but I didn't think anything of it. I checked my credit union statement today..
...55.04 for a round trip!? YEEEK! I think there was a typo, it proly should be $5.54 or something like that. I called MARTA, it took me about 20 minutes since I didn't have the ticket anymore, but they are opening a investigation. I hope I get the difference back...Bleh. Next time I'm skipping the card swiper and going for a Breeze card, tho I don't ride MARTA that often...
Not worth 7-10 dollars per attempt and then forcing myself to eat it when I have better tasting options for a dollar. If I had a free unlimited supply, sure
