New outdoor mall opened within walking distance. None of the restaurants are open for another 2 weeks. I really wanted to go to the burger + craft beer place damn it.

But on the plus side, there's a Costco gas station there. Save 30-40 cents/gallon... and for a Californian, this is a big deal with gas averaging $3.20/gallon around my neighborhood.

Gas is like 1.90 here now.

Come home and someone is parked in my spot. Parking here is assigned, that's part of the cost of our rent and this is not a free-for-all parking situation. Spots are clearly labeled with apartment numbers and there are clearly labeled guest parking spots. I was gone less than a fucking hour after being home all day, how's that for shit luck?

So I do what anyone would do, I lay on the fucking horn. Well it took a while for someone to come out, but not before some of the other neighbors came out and started bitching at me for making noise. It's not even fucking 10PM. If you don't like it, pay for my spot and your asshole guests can park there whenever the fuck they want, until then, eat a steaming pile of dicks.

Side note, this happened a few years ago and I tried calling the towing company, but they told me that they don't accept calls from residents.

You have to contact building management. The contract is with them, not you.
