On the wedding subject from last page, my sister spent I think $50k on her wedding I think. Literally our entire family was telling her shes insane and I have no idea how they afforded it. But she was adamant.

It was a pretty fucking nice wedding.

Meanwhile, I went to my boyfriend's best friend's wedding a couple of years ago and I think their entire wedding was paid for by the guests in the end, including their honeymoon. I guess in Vietnamese weddings, people give you a shit ton of money.

Just got told during my year-end appraisal that "while he has stayed late to make sure the projects get done correctly and on-time, he hasn't shown a willingness to stay late to make sure projects get done correctly and on-time." My manager literally said that in one sentence. Even the HR person present had absolutely nothing to say in response to that. I also got told that I lack technical knowledge to perform my job, even though part of my duties currently include training people to do what I do.

Needless to say HR and I have a nice, long call scheduled for tomorrow to discuss all of this. I just don't even WTF with this manager. He's there maybe 40% of the week, so I have no clue how he even got asked to do my appraisal.

Last Friday I had a second interview scheduled for an inhouse position. Interviewer had to cancel putting my time "tba". At the same time my current supervisor had to go to 3rd due to the firing of that supervisor. Today I walked in and started work, and the interviewer tells me they were trying to get in touch with me to do my interview an hour prior to my shift. They emailed my old supervisor to set it up. That interview was the worst experience. Ugh.

Passed a civil service exam and got the letter today saying the Physical agility portion is set for next Thursday, can't get off work to go.

Don't think I'll score high enough anyway but still shitty.

Holy fucking shit. So I took the bus today and on the way back a homeless dude got on... I don't want to exaggerate, but I've never been exposed to such foul odor before. I mean, people were running out of the fucking bus like, have you ever moved an adobe/cinder block that's been sitting there undisturbed for years and critters just run in all directions? That was it. Bunch of hot chicks almost throwing up and coughing, it was fucking hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing, I mean wtf else am I gonna do? Trust me, it was fucking awful and I ain't no pussyass mofro.

If it's anything like the PAT for civil service (law enforcement ) in ma, then it's the easiest course in the world.

Was working for a company for 2 years and moved up to management. Company was putting me in training to run my own retail store. I was offered a spot to be an assistant at a walmart.

I'm over month into the walmart job and I've yet to be shown and trained as my position. I've been at the hiring centre hiring over 150 people. We will be taking possession of a new store in a week.

The management team isn't the environment I enjoy. Also I got thrown under the bus by my boss. Seems they have a new hiring system. Management requires 3 years and I only had 1. Boss made a joke about why we took me infront of the hr manager.

My old job called me yesterday asking if I would be interested in coming back. I would be taking a 10% pay cut from what I make at Walmart. The commute would be 15 min vs 30. Benefits are slightly better at my old job as well.

What do I do BG? Walmart is salary and my old job would be hourly. If that matters.

Is the 10% pay cut in the $100s, $1000s, or $10,000s? Will the reduction in salary be made up by the shorter commute and better benefits? Will you be able to make overtime? Will you have room for career growth? Are the people at your old job more enjoyable to be around?

about $8000. The benefits at my old job will make up about 50% of that $8k. No overtime. The growth at Walmart in reality is either co manger or manager. And I don't want that job. My old job I would be running my own store at a small scale compared to walmart.

People at old job are much nicer.
