You want two weeks detention or do you want to ask Zeb if you can touch his penis?!
Totaled my truck last month. My glasses were damaged in the accident and I wanted the other driver's insurance company to pay for new ones. Somehow, they think it is OK to tell me they need access to any and all medical records to issue a check for my glasses and have denied all payment for anything other than the value of the vehicle until I give them permission.
First: I will not allow them access to any and ALL medical records for a non-medical expense.
Second: Paying $60 for my new frames and $40 for my new lenses will not bankrupt them. They need to give me the $100 and promptly fuck off.
I think I should go see a therapist and tell "Hallmark of Texas" they get to pay me $5k for mental anguish. It's $100 for fuck sake...I don't even need it but I want to buy a video game!
I'm a little confused, you've just stated that you don't need the money, nor intend to spend it on a glasses replacement, but you're upset the company doesn't just hand the cash over without questioning anything? Isn't that the entire reason they require the additional information in the first place? Personally, I'd forward along JUST optometrist information.
Came home from work last night to no power. Ask the roommate what's up, he calls ConEd and says that they messed up even though he paid the bill but they won't be able to restore power until 10am the next day.
Already don't believe him because, shit. No utility gets turned off without a million notices and if it was their mistake I have a hard time believing they'd make you wait 12+ hours if they admit it was their own mistake.
So I text him while I'm at work asking if they've come by and if he knows if it'll be back tonight. Says he's contacting them. That was an hour and a half ago.
I'm piiiiiissed.
You can settle that quickly by calling them yourself and seeing why it was shut off. After that, you can either believe him or take over the bill paying yourself.
I'm renting out a room and I don't have access to the utility account. Basically subletting and my rent is all inclusive.
I already bought the glasses and already had a current prescription. I cannot see shit without glasses, so I had to get new ones the day of the accident. They will not accept the purchase receipt and pictures of broken glasses. They want to look at my complete medical history before they will reimburse me. I did not get an eye exam and eye care is not part of medical history anyways.
The biggest reason I am scratching my head and wondering why the fuck they are doing this is because they wrote me a $250 check for a rental car without even asking me where I rented the car from or asking for a receipt. But they withhold $100 because I will not grant access to my records. It just feels like data collection for other purposes. Like selling "non-identifiable" information to marketing firms disguised as research facilities.
Having a discussion in a Facebook group about if Panda Express is any good. For the record I think it's horrible and expressed such. Later in conversation switches to other restaurants like Carrabas. Person insists they cook the real Italian way so a messy plate is okay to serve people. ( they posted a pic)
I had to stop myself from responding because I can't handle the stupid. I may eat at chain restaurants too but I know it's a fucking chain restaurant food.

Seriously, I worked in restaurants so I have a pretty good grasp on how most of the chains operate because it's pretty similar. It's so funny she's like oh no it was fresh it wasn't reheated it all it looked like it just came out of the microwave with the plastic cheese look and all . she said she wasn't picky I refrained from pointing out the obvious and just left it at that.
Don't get me wrong I used to not know any better between decent food and all the chain stuff but now that I do and educated myself I can't believe I spent money on that stuff.

But 'dat Carabba's peach sangria...
Hubby been working overtime, which means I've been working overtime because I gotta watch the kids when I get home until we all pass out.
I am exhausted as shit.
But $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
My ex-husband's sister posted a bunch of pictures of her kids and mine being evacuated by officials due to massive flooding, also pictures of flooding in the area, as high as above wheel-wells in trucks in some places, and there's nothing I can fucking do right now except cry.
but theyve been evacuated
theyre fine
prolly think its the coolest shit to happen to them all autumn
My wife and I are at a point where we only eat at restaurants where we probably can't cook the same stuff as good. Or, we go if we're just tired and/or not in the mood to cook. However, yeah we're not going to a chain restaurant unless it's Red Robin to grab a burger or hit up Texas Roadhouse on their $9.99 nights. Working in a few restaurants myself it really taught me a lot. I was amazed that Bill Knapps (midwest chain, out of business) was mostly preheated foods or frozen. Their famous au gratin potatoes came in giant clear bags in milk crates that we scooped out when needed. Gross. On the flip side, when I worked at Lone Star Steakhouse right when they opened most stuff was made completely fresh. Soups made from scratch every two days, salad cut fresh daily, etc etc. But then they tried being the Applebees of steakhouses and it went to shit.
