Random Fail: First World Problems

County Collections Department is making me go into their office location to prove that I was not living in Missouri on January 1 to avoid paying property tax (Missouri only collects tax on vehicles owned in-state on Jan 1), even though I got my ID & car registered (transferred from Kansas) in June. My wife and I actually had our cars registered together, but they're only trying to come after my car for property tax. So now I have to take time off work, after I find documentation of living in Kansas on Jan. 1, to prove to them something that they should already have on file as I believe they made copies of my Kansas registration and license. Also screw them for not having extended hours for the dayshift folks. And screw the DMV for probably fucking this up in the first place with improper paperwork that will probably come back to bite me whenever I need to renew tags.

So I'm out on a route today for work and it's cold enough where I'd consider wearing a coat when outside... but the driver is super cold or something so he is wearing a coat in the truck and had the heat on max. So I'm going back and forth between 80 and 40 F temps. I'd open my window but for some reason the control for it is way over on the drivers side right next to the steering wheel so I'd have to treach way over to operate it

Fucking Kaiser. Call them up to see if I can get in today to get my neck and shoulder checked out since it's the same shoulder I had operated on twice. Tell me it's for 1:50 today, show up and find out its for tomorrow. At least they still got me in today

Payroll sucks at my job today. Our payroll lead passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago and since then nothing gets done in a timely manner. My manager has to approve everything by today but still no word on how much sick time I have. I SHOULD have my full 40 hours since I just came back full time from workmans comp but for whatever reason they are being slow as fuck getting back to her.

We are transitioning to a new payroll system via workday which can fuck right off. I'm very easy going at work but fuck with my pay and all hell will break loose.

I used to have to HOUND people to get their fucking timecards in to me. I would send three emails (due tomorrow, due now, due an hour ago). Not in by then, FUCKING 80%, BITCHES! YOU CAN GET THE 20% ON THE NEXT CHECK! Then, it turned into emailing supervisors (who had to sign their timecards) our policy of 80% when they bitched because their employees bitched.

Basically there were concerns of time card fraud at my dealership so now it's going to a different system. I think in my case it's extra fucked because I was on workmans comp , then back part time , then off and now back fulltime. So I should have all my benefits reinstated but I think they are fucking behind.

My boss just says well I guess you don't want to get paid yet oh well. Literally wont send the stuff off to whoever handles our payroll till he gets our hours lol. Though he's cool and will accept texts of times instead of cards in the short term if you do something dumb like go home without turning it in

So one of my ex coworkers wrecks one of our trucks back in march. Like goes off the road thru a telephone pole and eventually gets stopped by a tree. Front end is wrapped around tree no way that can be salvaged. The box of the truck had the telephone pole fall on it so it's cracked. Various other damages clearly not really fixable and even if it was it's a specially made truck that's old and outdated and made in Canada so repairs still wouldn't be a possibility.

Despite all that the insurance company is not convinced it can't be repaired and just keeps telling us to get it repaired and wont settle the claim. Eventually they tell us the will settle it if some kind of professional comes in and looks at it and makes some kind of official statement that it needs replacing (mind you by the time they even tell us that we've already had to buy a replacement in order to continue doing business). But of course they want us to find and pay said inspector ourselves out of pocket and said inspectors don't want to make up paperwork like that unless it's for an actual insurance person. Fast forward to a month ago and we finally get claim settled... then a couple of weeks ago they cancel the insurance for no reason other than we actually ya know used the insurance. And today to top it off they give us a several page survey to fill out about how satisfied we were about the claim and to give feedback because customer service is there number 1 concern
